Re: Tennis: 15th - 21st February Sport Tennis Event Juan Monaco vs Carlos Ferrero Selection Over 22,5 (Asian Handicap) Strength 10/10 Date 20/02/2010 Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 1.90 (Back) Reasoning In last 2 matches from this tournament,Juan Monaco won with Chela 2-1 at sets and with Zeballos 2-0.Carlos Ferrero won with M Daniel in 2 sets, while with Ventura in 3 sets.I know both players had always good evolutions on clay,so here I expect a balanced meeting, being hard to say who will win tonight. Is very probably a match with 3 sets,so I say that a bet with over 22,5 games is the best option.

Sport Tennis
Event David Ferrer v Albert Montanes
Selection Albert Montanes
Strength 10/10
Date 20/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Expekt @ 3.35 (Back)
Reasoning I think Ferrer is worth opposing at a juicy price here. He played Andreev earlier in the day and it always awkward playing your second match against a guy who is fresh. Ferrer saved a load of break points against Andreev suggesting the Russian put in one of his muggy performances. Montanes has been very comfortable this week. Got a walkover against Nalbandian so hasn't played for a while which is a bit of a negative, but I think he can do well in this match.

Sport Tennis
Event Julien Benneteau v Michael Llodra
Selection Julien Benneteau
Strength 10/10
Date 21/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Sportingbet @ 2.00 (Back)
Reasoning Two French guys here in the final and both have played excellently this week, knocking off big name players. As the odds suggest this final looks very tough to call, so pick your poison. I think Benneteau should be a very slight favourite, will start very slight favourite so will take this even money when it is on offer. Just think he has slightly more. He's returning excellently and despite how well Llodra is serving I think Benny can get into his service games. He looks great off the ground and should enjoy the matchup.

Sport Tennis
Event Karol Beck v Ilia Bozoljac
Selection Karol Beck
Strength 10/10
Date 21/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Paddy Power @ 1.72 (Back)
Reasoning I'll make a rare play in a challenger at the end of this week. Always liked Beck, and he seems to be playing good at the moment. By all accounts he's hitting great this week, and is following up a challenger title from last week. He loves the quicker conditions and is a class above Bozoljac. Bozo is having a good week, but now playing at home may turn into added pressure in the final. I like Beck to take this.

Re: Tennis: 15th - 21st February karol beck to beat bozoljac at 8-11 paddypower 2 points!! both men are basically in great form this week but i have to side with the classier player beck!last week he won a challenger in bergamo beating the likes of hrbaty and more impressively muller in the final (both straight)! this week he has kept that impressive form battling past prpic but then beating the dangerous karanusic(who beat koubek) and then coasting past . bozoljac is having a great week in his home city.....he has beaten hrbaty and yesterday beat bogdanovic!however beck is a step up from those boys (beck beat hrbaty 3 and 2 last week) and i have seious reservations about bozoljacs tempermant!!! he's also inferior to beck off the ground(dodgy two-handed forehand) and relies too much on his big serve!! i think the pressure could get to him!!

Re: Tennis: 15th - 21st February david ferrer to beat juan-carlos ferrero at 4-6 3 points!!! this is a bet that i honestly really like!! ferrero is in great form at the moment and was a class act in brazil last week (wonderful performance against kubot in the final)!he's hitting the ball sweetly, changing directions very well and mixing his play up well!! however, the simple fact is that he hasn't played a player of ferrer's class yet (the field really opened up for him in brazil when mello beat belluci and monaco is over-rated even on clay) and this is a whole different challenge for him!!ferrer is in flying form......he has destroyed gil 1 and love and clay court specialist montanes had no answer to his consistency and speed and shot making as he lost 1 and 1!!! ferrer hhas a 5-1 head=to=head record against ferrero and i think the reason for that is because ferrer is so difficult to hit through because of his speed and i think he probably beats ferrero at his own game!! no matter what way you look at it....he clearly has an edge and he won't be found wanting in a final....he'll bring his a-game.....he has won an atptour event every year since 2007!there is also the factor that juan-carlos has played a lot of tennis and might just find a grinding battle with ferrer too exhausting physically and mentally!! i strongly advise ferrer!! good luck!!

Re: Tennis: 15th - 21st February carsten ball x bobby kendrick double at evens paddypower!! 2 points ball is at 4-7 so if you want i'd advise to back him alone but if you don't like backing odds on then the double might be a better option!! ball is playing rising start ryan harrison! i think ball should be too good here for the talented youngster who hasn't quite matured yet and make his mark at this level!ball has shown reliable form this year...he got to a challenger final two weeks ago only to lose to the unpredictable ryan sweeting in the final!he was impressive against verdasco in the australian open and lets not forget his run to the final at los angelos last year losing to querrey in 3 sets but he beat isner,l mayer ,gicquel and tursonov so he obviously is a player moving in the right direction!! harrison has potential but he has already posted straight sets losses to istomin, tipseravic, yani and guez this year and i expect ball to be too powerful and solid for him!! kendrick is playing a poor opponent in smyczek who posted a rare win by beating bogomolov in 3rd set breaker yesterday!kendrick beat mcclune in 3 sets and should be motivated to get to the main draw and be too good for smyczek!!

Sport Tennis
Event Angelique Kerber v Mariana Duque Marino
Selection Lay Mariana Duque Marino (Lay)
Strength 10/10
Date 21/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 2.60 (Lay)
Reasoning Marino is having a good year, but struggling in the later stages of tournaments. She's had 2 semis and a final loss this year and I think she'll be outgunned again today. Kerber surprised me yesterday, getting a very good win over Dulko. She's the higher calibre player and I think she wins this.

Re: Tennis: 15th - 21st February salamanca to beat duclos at 4-7 paddypower 1 point!! neither player has great hard court pedigree but salamanca performs at a relatively high challenger level on clay court and is over 150 places above duclos in the atp rankings!!! salamanca has a poor hard court record 5 wins 14 losses but he had his best season yet last year and seems to be an improving player! he beat berankis yesterday but berankis retired but two weeks earlier he played berankis and only lost 7-5 in the third(on hard)! however, the main reason i like this bet is that salamanca is a lefty......and duclos has never beaten a lefty before......even at challenger level!!!! he clearly has a problem against leftys.....probably has a weak backhand (i've never seen him play) but this is a big issue! as it is duclos is a very limited performer and i'd expect salamanca to use his lefty forehand and show huge advantage in ranking for what it is!1 its a reasonable price but obviously it would be better if people put this in an accumulator with a player of their own choice!! john isner to beat sam querrey at 5-4 paddypower!1 point i am surprised that isner is an underdog here!! the reason i like this price in particular is because it's a final!!! the 'final'factor can not be underestimated here!! querrey has played 6 finals and lost 4......and these losses occured against opponents that he would have been expected to beat!(rajeev ram on grass, for example) isner has only really developed into the player he is over the last 12 months but already i can see that he is simply a better match player than querrey and if the match comes down to tie-breakers which i think it could i would fancy isner to hold his nerve better!! querrey has slightly better groundstrokes but is probably the more talented player but isner has the stronger mind.....i'm not saying that querrey is weak mentally or anything-i don't expect him to choke or anything....i just think that isner is very strong mentally and that querrey will blink first!! isner is the value in a close match at 5-4! angelique kerber to beat ducque marino at 8-13 boylesports! 2 points kerber has been hugely impressive this week!!she has gotten to the final the hard way beating some quality oppostion in de los rios, parmentier and most impresively dulko.....and all in straight sets!!! ducque marino (who i have backed in every match so far) has benefited from a cushy draw!! suarez navarro threw a typical wobbler against antoniyak in the first round.....just what we come to expect form navarro in the less important tournaments....ducque marino then beat antoniyak in 2 breakers...she beat zakopalova then in 2 but zakopalova is no great shakes these days and isn't in good form either.....she beat parra santonja in the semi-final but she santonja was only there because of a poor effort from errani against her....so she has had a lot of luck to get here has in avoiding the big seeds in good form....(unlike kerber) in fairness ducque marino is talented and should give kerber a good match in front of home support but kerber will not be intimidated and in fact duvque marino herself has a history of getting tight in the real important moments(before this tournament i've seen her lose a lot of 3rd set breakers)! kerber is simply on top of her game and i expect her to over-power duxque marino who is still relatively inexperienced at this level!!

Sport Tennis
Event Sam Querrey v John Isner
Selection John Isner
Strength 10/10
Date 21/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 2.42 (Back)
Reasoning This is very interesting. These guys both serve huge and this should be very close. They're playing in the doubles together, and going to Acapulco together to prep for Davis Cup. Whichever way you look at this these guys are closely matched and this should be good. Querrey has a bit more of a baseline game, but Isner more pop on the serve. When it gets close, I really like Isner, and I don't see him as such an underdog here.
Sport Tennis
Event David Ferrer v Juan Carlos Ferrero
Selection Juan Carlos Ferrero
Strength 10/10
Date 21/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 2.42 (Back)
Reasoning Ferrero showing sustained good form last week and this. He's hitting really well and should give Ferrer a lot of problems. Ferrer came through a couple of matches comfortably yesterday but was really helped by Montanes garbage performance. He looks to be playing well, but so is Ferrero, and this should be a good match. I'll take my chance on Ferrero.
