All credit must go to JALFREZI for encouraging this never ending riddle and I feel I must quote him word for word to give you a chance at working this one out... So here goes... Original content belongs to JALFREZI in his unbelievable thread now running at 2 years long!! "Slicer's bet

Summary Slicer is a longstanding Betfair forumite who made several posts during and after Euro 2008 that he'd found a foolproof winning method on the correct scores markets, and gave many clues. A few of us met weekly in IM sessions to try to crack it, but got nowhere. What we know is that 2 bets are placed pre-KO, with Bet 3 being placed in-play if it's needed. If there's a first half goal, no further bets are placed. Bet 1 is lay the HT 0-0. If there's no first half goal, Bet 2 must be "adjusted" and placing BET 3 ensures profits whatever the result. The exact timings of these bets is unknown. We initially looked at Bet 2 being Back the FT 0-0. With correct staking we will win if there's a first half goal (ie Bet 3 isn't needed). If however it's 0-0 at HT, Bet 1 has lost but the price of the FT 0-0 is falling so we can trade out Bet 2 by laying the FT 0-0 to green up, but this only works after about 60mins, so for the first 15mins of the 2nd half we are vulnerable to a goal. We couldn't find Bet 3 (which Slicer said in a private email could be a combination of 2 or more bets placed at the same time). Slicer said the POI isn't huge but it's still positive: 12% if there's a first half goal, 8% otherwise, after commission. He also said it would have worked for all the previous season's PRemiership games (he backtested the results, though not the inplay odds), though when actually betting he was careful to choose games with "favourable" odds. After several months of meetings, the guy who set up and led the IM sessions suddenly disappeared without further contact, and the group disbanded. He either found it and didn't want to share his findings with the group, got fed up with it, or snuffed it. All questions/ideas welcome!" Work this one out!!!!
