Re: ATP Metz/Bucharest & WTA Seoul/Tashkent I'm taking De Chaunac this morning: De Chaunac over Bogdanovic @ 4/7 Qualifier in Metz.Seen some good stuff from De Chaunac over summer, esp in Washington beating Istomin and Tursunov.Havent watched Bogdanovic in quite a while but results are usually the same.De Chaunac is superior player and playing at home to reach main draw. Think he does it. GL!

Definitely doing this one though: Tipsarevic over Clement @ 1/2 Never like backing inconsistent player like Tipsarevic, and especially not at this price but Clement is horrible right now.Tipsarevic is not in great form, lost to Istomin in Davis Cup singles and Serra in US Open 1st round.But Clement's record recently reads 1win-9loss, many 1st round exits to average players.Didn't qualify for US Open losing to Smyczek in qualfier round one and lost to Ascione here in qualifying but advanced as a lucky loser.Luck should run out here though. As I said, Tipsaervic is not usually reliable but will take him this time. GL!

Reasoning Can't see much changes for Rochus. He's coming from Davis Cup weekend on clay and the transition sure is tough. Now against Santoro, should struggle with match up. Santoro on farewell tour playing in France surely motivated and should do well.

Reasoning I have to like Gasquet here. Since coming back from crack ban, lost in qualifying then lost to excellent performance in US Open against Nadal. Now had 3 weeks since then some time back in Europe to get prepared. In France now he shoudl be looking to get some wins. Berrer is very average player, nice serve but not much else. Gasquet should like match up and take care comfortably.

Re: ATP Metz/Bucharest & WTA Seoul/Tashkent Trying two today. :hope Qualifier in Bucharest Ventura @ 1.85 (4/10) is my first choice.Got throught the qualies quite easy and defeated Andreev in R1 yesterday still not dropping set to his opps. here.His form looks fine and his H2H record with Martin is great (4-0).Martin somehow came back from a set down v Serra but I think that today Ventura will show that has too much for him once again. Taking Pavel @ 4.2 (2/10) as I think it's a great value.Don't know how Cuevas will enter this one,quality is on his side and it's the surface that suits him very good and I wouldn't oppose him if this was any other tournament,but going with Pavel because of the circumstances here.Guy has big experience,he's playing his last career tournament and it's in his home country.Believe he'll like to give his best and I see nice chance for an upset.

Re: ATP Metz/Bucharest & WTA Seoul/Tashkent Going with one small one today just for some interest in these matches: Fognini to win set off Almagro @ 6/4 Anything is possible with Almagro playing.Fognini has got some good results on clay this year beating Cilic, Berdych, Mathieu and Davydenko.Quite impressed when I've watched some of his matches.Almagro is of course strong player on dirt (strong maybe not that right word!!) but liable to slip anywhere.Not gonna put alot on it but seems tempting at 6/4. GL!

Gonzalez is just one of those typical clay court players who rarely make an error and win from opponents mistakes. Hernandez is a more attacking clay court player and he will probably make more mistakes than Gonzalez. In both previous matches Gonzalez has won easily including Umag a month ago.

Re: ATP Metz/Bucharest & WTA Seoul/Tashkent Tipsarevic over Ljubicic @ Evens Will go with Janko again here.He is by no means on great form but played solidly enough to get past Clement.Ljubicic is on the wane recently, poor movement and looking sluggish overall. Just got past De Chaunac in a third set tie-break in round one.Serve will be crucial for both here but with Tipsarevic as slight underdog, it's worth a small punt. Never back Tipsarevic with big money. GL!

Gonzalez is just one of those typical clay court players who rarely make an error and win from opponents mistakes. Greul is a more attacking player and he will probably make mistakes than Gonzalez. After that tournament in Germany, Greul changed a lot, he is really good now and has something from Stepanek... :) he gained confidence and he looks again the talented player that he was and is! Maximo made just errors today, he looked that he is mentally blocked.

Reasoning Tipsarevic worth a chance at big price. He's played well this week and has got two solid wins. Indoors he can be dangerous and I not sure about Monfils. Monfils still seems not 100% and at weekend he was very bad on clay. Now he beat Grosjean easy but Grosjean always injured with shoulder problem it is sad to see. This is big test for Monfils and big price on Tipsarevic nice. Also head 2 head is 2-0 to Tipsarevic.

He's beat players without any problems and watching him today very good against Gonzalez. Monaco more accomplished player but maybe not so good he should be so short a price.

Reasoning Watched Kohlschreiber today and he played great tennis, the best I seen from him for a while. Play like that against surely far too good for Mathieu. Mathieu beat Beck OK but looked vunerable when Beck was aggressive and the match up should work well for Kohlschreiber.

Mathieu over Kohlschreiber @ 10/11 Two headcases in fairness.Both can have meltdowns during a match and lose when they should be winning.Solid win over Gicquel in round one, and served pretty well against Beck who is dangerous player.Kohlschreiber was far too good for Korolev...too consistent off the ground.Not gonna put much on it, just some money for interest but if Mathieu's groundstrokes hold up, he has a shot here. Maybe a tie-break or two. Monfils should also beat Gasquet, may look at that later.

Reasoning Kohlschreiber has played the best tennis this week and should be backed in the final. His confidence is up, he looks focussed and will be very tough to beat. Monfils at home of course tough, but his route through has been made very easy. Gasquet was clearly fatigued after first tough week for long time, Tipsarevic retired and Grosjean well he's simply finish. This match should be close but I take Kohlschreiber to come through.
