Datapunter
I've started work on my own odds comparison program. Going to begin with some of the American sports, NFL first then MLB and others. I know there are quite a few good odds comparison sites out there but somehow they all seem to be missing something. Not all the bookies i want, not the right display, etc... Writing my own will allow me to add features like arbitrage finding, downloads into excell, monitor only preferred bookies, etc... What bookies can you recommend for the American sports ? Which ones in your experiance usually have good prices ?
Sir Puntalot
NFL etc Bookies for odds comparison ? Pinnacle would be top of the list, also www.thgreek.com, good prices but both have average websites. ;)
Tulenos
NFL etc Bookies for odds comparison ? The two Paul quoted are the best, although Pinnacle guys are probably the fastest on the net to react to changing Vegas lines (benchmark prices). Out of European/UK books - B365, Betinternet (price up rather late), Paddy Power (price up terribly late but tend to make quite a few mistakes). There are also other one but not as good. There are also quite a few other US books like BoDog, Betcris and the like, but NOT many Europeans have an account with them, so Pinnacle and TheGreek (also known as Olympic) are probably the best representatives out of the lost - there is also another problem - Euro books often just copy the lines and most of their prices from one or other US book. Odds comparison may be easy when it comes to NHL or MLB, but beware of NFL as it's not prices, but lines that move first, so you need to watch out for changes in both - lines and prices. Hope this helps.;)
Tulenos
NFL etc Bookies for odds comparison ? Also forgot to mention there is a lot to watch - moneylines, handicaps and over/under lines. In all of the mentioned sports.

Tulenos
NFL etc Bookies for odds comparison ? Bowmans is a poor one, imo. The list of your books - again, some ofthem are quite often used in the US but about none is widely used in Europe or elsewhere. 5dimes is a purely Australian book with no office in Europe and as such it a martyrdom to withdraw any money from them. Guest JJBEAR
Comment If you want info on these books, where to play and general US sport info. Guest TazaD
5 dimes Pretty sure 5dimes is a US book, Tulenos. If it was here in Oz, it would be called 50 cents! :rollin :rollin I hate using ANY US books....Being charged to withdraw your funds is unbelievably rude!! (Although Canbet do charge a $10 flat fee for withdrawals >: ) Also the problems with losing $ through currency transactions, it just isn't worth the time/effort to use them (US books) imo. Unless there is a a very good prop bet or something specific you are interested in, you will usually get better lines by using Bet365, Gamebookers, Hills, SportingBet, Centrebet, Canbet. Again, just my opinion. :cheers
thephysician
And... Paddy Power, who often get their lines a point or so different from everyone else.
Datapunter
Re: And... thanks guy's, Unfortunately being from The Netherlands i have a handicap. Most European bookies no longer accept Dutch accounts because of local laws and court actions taken by the "official" lottery company. Ladbrokes and Betfair are taken legal actions in higher courts but some bookies just don't care about a handfull of Dutch customers. Here's paddy's point on it : As per our policy for the US, Paddy Power is choosing to voluntarily decline business from Dutch residents. This is in part due to a recent ruling in favour of Stichting de Nationale Sporttotalisator (the operator of the Dutch national lottery, De Lotto) against Ladbrokes. Datapunter
Re: And... Bet365, refuse Dutch accounts SportingBet, here i have an active account. William Hills, have an old unused account, seems ok Gamebookers, Centrebet, Canbet, do have the Netherlands in their list of countries so will probably accept me. Not to bad. Stanleybet is plain ridiculous, they have a block on all IP adresses from the Netherlands. Can't even see the site. emailed them and got a simular response as paddy's. Waiting for a reply from Ladbrokes now, they should have had a ruling half September.
