Verisimilitude
SANTIAGO ATITLAN 7.55 Hamilton. 0.5 points each way. Massive price this one, at around 95s on the exchanges, and on recent form would have a tough ask. However, has the back for to go close here and although has been globetrotting and now finds himself at the unlikely yard of Peter Monteith, he only needs to show a change of scenery is what he needs and then he can run a big race. Dropped in the weights to a mark of 92 (10lb lower than last handicap run) and so with the trip and ground not being a worry, and with being massive odds, I think he's worth a little bet. Rainbow
Re: Hamilton ~ (Eve) Friday 17th July. phantom serenade 620 ham. 0.5 pts ew. needs to improve a bit but open to improve and dropped in the weights. others look exposed to me and so if we can find that little bit then we should be able to get involved in the finish. the trip and ground look suitable too. fintron
Re: Hamilton ~ (Eve) Friday 17th July. 6.55 Hamilton Weetentherty is let in on 60 for his handicap debut and Jim Goldie's colt could bely his outsider tag and run a decent race off that mark here. At Musselburgh on his second start he was around three lengths off subsequent nursery winner Military Call and although Maison Brillet was well ahead, on these terms, he has every chance of reversing that form. At Ayr last time out he was again beaten by Maison Brillet and Bailey's Vision was also well infront. However, for what is around a seven and a half lengths beating, this son of Bertolini is getting over a stone from both horses. That, coupled with the move into handicaps, gives reason to believe he could turn the tables on those shorter priced rivals. 25/1 Hills, EW
fintron
Re: Hamilton ~ (Eve) Friday 17th July. 7.55 Hamilton Barney McGrew should get the race run to suit here and Michael Dods' progressive gelding may be able to improve upon his fourth place finish in last years race to score here. He ran a good race at on soft ground at Newcastle, latest, and although he has been raised in the handicap he is bang in form and should go well. 9/1 Bet 365, EW.
