Holland v Scotland 28th March 2009

Recommended Posts

Holland quoted at present at 6/5 to win to nil on saturday, massive price IMO, even if fully fit we wouldnt have the resources to compete with Holland in Amsterdam but there will be 2 rookie centre-halves playing as suspected at this stage along with injuries everywhere in the team, and we havent anyone to score at the best of times. Our big game is next wednesday against Iceland, its a poor group in terms of quality and noone will really count the Holland away games as important.

Re: Holland v Scotland 28th March 2009 Scotland dont play that many away games against elite teams in World and Euro qualifiers. Here's the recent record: 19931013 3 1 H H 2 1 Italy Scotland 19990609 3 2 A H 0 1 Czech_R Scotland 20030910 2 1 H H 1 0 Germany Scotland 20050326 2 0 H H 1 0 Italy Scotland 20070328 2 0 H H 1 0 Italy Scotland 20070912 0 1 X A 0 0 France Scotland Not a massive sample but 4 times out of 6 we have scored away v the quality sides. However the Burley period has all but extinguished the revival begun by Walter Smith so we could indeed get a doing.

We certainly won't win but I personally wouldn't bet against us not to score. We have players who can(but don't often) score from many area's on the park and this sometimes catches teams out I think.
yeh mate, I changed my bet to the Dutch -1 for the reasons you say, the ' lose to nil ' was cut to under evens in most places so the handicap was like for like with prices. The Iceland game on wednesday is paramount for us, the dutch have won this section and noone will get points in amsterdam IMO, no more injuries is vital also tonight.

Ker-ching. You da man Nastro, next time I'm in the port I'll shout you a drink. :cheers
good shout AJ had a nice largish single on serbia tonight at 3.90 on betfair with my winnings from North Korea this morning, lost a couple of quid on accys ( cheers aliando :spank ) but banked a few quid and stuck the remainder on USA later on. not had a lot of luck on the footie this season, so I'll enjoy this profitable saturday.
