Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) I really like the look of Wales to beat Poland. Poland can be unpredictable, sure, and do have some good players. However, Wales never fail to perform well and have some superb scalps beneath them i.e. a win at Denmark, deserving a draw at Russia etc. Those odds are fantastic!

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) Brasil x Italia First of all, we couldn't care less about this game here in Brazil (gamblers not included, of course). Kaká will not play and probably will be replaced by Elano :sadand Dunga loves a strong and brainless midfield, so he'll be quite pleased tomorrow. Just take a look at who is related to play for us tomorrow: GK's Julio César - Internazionale Doni - Roma D's Maicon - Internazionale Daniel Alves - Barcelona Adriano - Sevilla Marcelo - Real Madrid B's Lúcio - Bayern de Munique Juan - Roma Luisão - Benfica Thiago Silva - Milan MF's Gilberto Silva - Panathinaikos Elano - Manchester City Josué - Wolfsburg Ronaldinho Gaúcho - Milan Julio Baptista - Roma Felipe Melo - Fiorentina S's Robinho - Manchester City Alexandre Pato - Milan Adriano - Internazionale Pato is the only hope for a single goal...:gimme Italy? Well, there are 3 certainties in life: 1 - Death 2 - Taxes 3 - Under in Italy's games My bets: under 1,5 goal : 2,95 @ Sportingbet Final score : Brazil 1 x 0 @ 6,50 Pato willl score first goal @ 6,00 One last word: it's a friendly game...they don't care...so take care! Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) All of sudden quite a lot of problems for Serbia ahead of the Cyprus match. The likes of Marko Pantelic (Hertha BSC) and Gojko Kacar (Hertha BSC) are ruled out through injuries, Neven Subotic (Borussia Dortmund) is in the squad, but he’s not allowed(due to some UEFA rules) to make his debut yet, so he’ll be missing as well, Aleksandar Lukovic (Udinese) is struggling to overcome some injury and is almost certain to miss the match(coach Antic has already called up his replacement), while Nikola Zigic (Racing Santander) got injured at the weekend and will also join them on the sidelines. SERBIA Goalkeepers: Vladimir Stojkovic (Getafe), Vladimir Disljenkovic (Metalurg Donetsk), Bojan Isailovic (G’birligi) Defenders: Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea), Nemanja Vidic (Manchester United), Ivica Dragutinovic (FC Sevilla), Antonio Rukavina (TSV 1860 Munchen), Igor Djuric (Vojvodina), Ivan Obradovic (Partizan), Aleksandar Kolarov (Lazio) Midfielders: Dejan Stankovic (Inter Milan), Zdravko Kuzmanovic (Fiorentina), Nenad Milijas (Red Star), Miljan Mutavdzic (Javor), Milos Krasic (CSKA Moscow), Bosko Jankovic (Genoa), Zoran Tosic (Manchester United), Nemanja Matic (MFK Kosice), Milan Jovanovic (Standard Liege) Forwards: Danko Lazovic (PSV Eindhoven), Miralem Sulejmani (Ajax) This is actually the tournament and the winners of this tie will face Ukraine/Slovakia in the final.

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) dear kojic still i rate serbia as a world class team, able to do the job here, no matter the squad problems, btw , serbian coach antic announced rotation and his will to se some newcomers in action cypriot players blamed the federation for bad arrangements, the competion here is really huge for the championship, the three big clubs are fighting like hell for the tittle, beleive me the rivalty is enormus-anorthosis, apoel, omonia- none of those three clubs like to see any injury because of this friendly tournament and despite what players promised, i beleive that they will take it easily and relaxing, a probable injury, it is a non even to consider issue as for result, i am confident on X2, WHICH MEANS draw or away in addition, and providing that cypriot players will not risk any injury, OVER 2.5 GOALS good luck to all!:dude

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 )

Brazil - Italy
Today, 21:45
Pick: Over 2.5 Stake: 7/10 Odds: 2.35
This match is the game of the day. These are the two international sides with most World cups won and the repetition of the 1994 Worldcup final game. More than 10 TV stations will be broadcasting it live. Everybody who is interested in football will be watching, so they have to receive something for their commitment in front of the TV. Italians will present a formidable squad with Lippi as a returning headcoach, I seriously doubt that in a friendly game he will try to set the pace the way they won the World championship in 2006. Football has changed and the rythm of the game is copletely different as all in Italy found out in 2008 at the European stage. Brazil how ever has returning Ronaldinho and Adriano. Kaka will not play but this is not an issue with a top form Pato and Robinho. And most of all the stakes @ > 2.2 in most betting houses are just to tempting to miss icon_biggrin.gif

Well, I do not expect some wholesale changes in the starting lineup, though due to some squad problems, a couple of players might take a part in different positions compared to last match vs.Bulgaria. Probable lineup: Serbia: Stojkovic - Ivanovic, Vidic, Dragutinovic, Obradovic - Krasic, Milijas, Stankovic, Jovanovic - Lazovic, Sulejmani In the recent months the likes of (right winger) Krasic and (left winger) Jovanovic have been in spectacular form in the national team and once again they should prove to be a real threat for the opponents. Both of them are extremely fast, with some great technique and most importantly they're very direct and attack straight away with the ball. Serbia have also shown lots of huge improvements under new coach Radomir Antic, having played some of their best football in the recent history. In the last match vs.Bulgaria(6:1), Serbia have scored 6 goals, missed 2 penalties, hit the woodwork a couple of times, missed tons of sitters...Generally speaking, in the last 3 matches, Serbia scored 12 goals, hit the woodwork 5-6 times, missed 3 penalties, let alone a lot of missed sitters... Anyway, it's still a friendly match, while much improved Cyprus play in front of home crowd, so everything's possible...

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) Brazil v Italy At first glance of this fixture I thought what is the point? :unsure In the middle of a domestic season the Italians certainly won't be relishing this match! However from a betting prospective on looking into the stats and based on what I feel looks like a strong Brazilian squad it could pay to back Brazil in this! Head 2 Head matches

Brazil have won 8 and lost 1 out of their last 9 friendlies Italy have won 3 and lost 3 and drawn 3 out of their last 9 friendlies Interesting to note that Italy played 6 of those friendlies in Italy however when they ventured away for a friendly they have lost 2 out of 3, drawing the other!!! The Italians will no doubt not give a toss about this match because the players will just be like the premiership players to be told not to come back from International duty with any injuries by their respective teams likewise the Italian based Brazilians - however the mindset to me of an Italian is "can't be arsed unless something is on the line"! Whereas the Brazilians have a bit to prove to their fans especially the head coach Dunga who the Brazilian people have not yet took to their heart! Prediction: Brazil Win @2.60 ***** Paddypower :ok

Thanks Bagzi for the welcome. About my game: with 24 hours to go until the start of the match there were sold only 3000 tickets (the stadium has a capacity of 28.000 places). There is no interest for the game, there will be probably 5000-10000 people at te beginning of the game; So, it will be a poor atmosphere... My pick: Croatia 2.90 bet365 5/10

Brazil 2 x 0 (damn! Dunga will stay!:@)
What's with Dunga? Please explain, son;), I mean if it is only you who dislike him, no worries. But if it is also fans and players, this might lead into a couple of healthy bets... Must admit it is Unknown Land to me, could it be possibly that bad that not winning vs Italy could have cost him the job? :ok

he obviously doesn't like Elano' date=' either, stated in 2 posts, and who made the 1:0? :eyes[/quote'] Having Elano instead of injured Kaka in a friendly is one thing, a possible sack for the Manager of Brasil for not winning a friendly vs Italy is another, and a very serious one... A possible turmoil inside the team is news, in view of couple of disappointing results in the qualifications. Coaching Brasil is a top job in the business, it's good to know what Brasilians think... :ok

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) Serbia(2.65) to beat Ukraine Should be a couple of changes in Serbia's lineup as it seems very unlikely that some players will play two matches(and all 180 mins) in only 24 hours(the likes Jankovic, Vidic, Ivanovic,...,could all be left out; the likes of Stankovic, Jovanovic(Man of the Match yesterday),...,could also start on the bench, but they've played only 45mins yesterday, so it means they might be involved after all). However, it shouldn't affect Serbia too much I believe.Despite all the squad problems, Antic's got quite enough options on the bench, especially to cover some of the crucial positions and still manage to keep the same formation and attacking style of play... ...Kolarov(Lazio) on the left-back position instead of Obradovic, Rukavina(Munchen 1860) instead of Ivanovic, Krasic(CSKA Moscow) on the right-wing position instead of Jankovic, Kuzmanovic(Fiorentina) on the holding-midfielder position instead of Milijas, Tosic(Manchester United) on the left-wing postion instead of Jovanovic who could possibly replace Lazovic and join Sulejamani in the heart of attacking line and so on... Quite simply, with the likes of (two Real Madrid targets) Jovanovic(once again showed a pure class in only 45 minutes) and Krasic on the wings, Serbia should be able to make some enormous pressure on Ukraine.Serbia haven't pushed too hard yesterday, but did more than enough in the first half to finish all the job, while Cyprus have struggled big time to break Serbia's back four. There's no lack of motivation in this tournament and that was quite obivious yesterday, so I can see Serbia going all out to win this one.

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) Spain v England - Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.48 Gonna take a chance on overs here because I think 6/4 is to high, England are a better team under Capello and they can always nick a goal and I fancy them to do so tonight, Spain are the European champions and always have goals in them, they have a very good side at the moment. Players get there chance in friendlies and England have a few injuries upfront with Rooney out so the strikers will look to impress, goals do that. 2-1 to either side is a possible score tonight.

Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) good write up kojic i seen the serbs play yesterday they were very impressive in the first half and id be tempted to go with them again today in the region of 2.55 and above.. but the main worry is that A they will rest sum of the big stars and if ukraine score first can they recover and B what sort of a team ukraine are fielding..il wait until an hour before kick off to place my bet.. Anybody see any reason not to back Sweden against Austria? have been lookin at this for a while now and altho its jus a friendly i feel even swedens second string team would beat austria, alright austria have had a good win against france 3 1 back in september but after that its a loss to lithuania2 0 draw 1 1 with faroe island and lose to serbia 3 1 ...i know these games are 4 months ago but it all depends what sweden shows up.. i think bar complacency sweden should take this match at 2.37 and id expect and HOPE that sweden win:hope:hope:hope.. what yous think any info would be appreciated..

I'm not exactly sure what kind of team Ukraine have got for this tournament.I've just checked the lineups from yesterday's match vs.Slovakia and the likes of Voronin and Shevcenko haven't been involved(so I'm not sure whether they're even called up), while Anatoly Tymoschuk took the part in the last 15 minutes or so.They've either decided to rest them for the second match or simply they're not even included in the squad(anyone knows?). Anyway, as mentioned above, I'd expect to see the likes of Jovanovic and Stankovic form the start as well as Krasic who was nowhere near being in his top form yesterday, due to lack of competitive matches at CSKA Moscow, but he's capable of producing some strong performances anytime.Jovanovic has shown quite a lot of potential long time ago, but he's simply exploded in the recent months, at both Standard Liege and NT, having already attracted the interest of Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen, FC Sevilla and many other top teams, so being always very motivated in the national team he should be a huge threat for Ukraine today, if he starts of course. Coach Antic has already said a couple of days ago that Serbia will be aiming to win this tournament, and yesterday's match has shown they're clearly taking it seriously. Serbia 0(1.90) might be a safer option as Ukraine can always prove to be a very tough nut to crack...
