KONG
Historic Musselburgh Links has been a venue for horseracing since 1816. Staging Flat and Jump racing throughout the year, this course, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, has undergone a £5 million redevelopment and offers modern and stylish customer facilities. Musselburgh offers themed days for families, and competitive racing year round. Todays fixtures in here.:ok
Cassius Marcellus
Re: Musselburgh 30/06/08 8-25 Al Wasef Johnston generally has a few runners here, but this is his only one tonight. Tonight is his first handicap run and even though the stable isn't exactly firing at the moment, he's a big price at about 8/1.
Cassius Marcellus
Re: Musselburgh 30/06/08 7-55 Mintoe Don't like backing in maidens much, but this caught the eye on its debut and was well supported on course. Led until 2 out when lack of race fitness and inexperience told it's tale. The only other one in the field I like, going on the somewhat limited form, is Vistere. 9-25 Evelith Regent Swinbank has two runners here tonight. Winston on board the selection, and he rides more winners than Gibson, who is on the other stable horse in an earlier race. ER generally takes a keen hold which spoils his chances, but I fancy Winston to set off in front tonight, keep the horse happy, and hopefully stay there. billy the punter
Re: Musselburgh 30/06/08 8.25 A trappy little race full of course specialists. I've backed Cha Cha Cha more than once this year and she loves it around here. This is her trip and a mark of 82 is definitely in her capabilities. Although I will be saving in running with her at around 1.3 as she can get out-battled. Al Wasef from Mark Johnston's yard is an unknown quantity and it looks like a drop to 7f will suit. Cha Cha Cha 80% of stake 3.7 betfair Al Wasef 20% of stake 10.5 betfair RFC
billy the punter
Re: Musselburgh 30/06/08 Cha Cha Cha did go odds on in running but didn't touch the 1.3 I laid her at. :( The 8.55 is a woeful race and I'll be taking a chance on Lucky Character and Your Golf Travel who both run ok on their handicap debuts. Their marks are very low. Both are on the drift but this race don't want a lot of winning. Won't be going overboard though obviously.
