Quite like the look of Plum Pudding at 6/1 in the 4.05 Done all of its winning here over a mile but judging from is recent runs he will appreciate the slight drop in trip. Also takes a slight drop in class. He was a decent animal last year and at 6/1 he's a solid e/w.

Re: Newmarket 23/05/08 Im with you Carl 4:05 Plum Pudding. The horse loves it here and all its wins around this course at slightly longer, but I agree it might benefit from slight drop in trip based on recent efforts. Positive vibes about it as well. Good e/w bet for me.

Lto ran an encoraging race in the victoria cup, on its last visit here it won over c&d and certainly looks much more sharper for two a/w runs this season and its asc. run lto. Useful claimer claims three pounds. Big Noise looks the biggest danger but there is a slight question mark over his fitness fto. 4.40 Shela House 14/1 var 7.5 pts e.w A race that could revolve around Punjabi who could be well handicapped and even the well backed Mad Rush but a bigger priced e.w pick could be an option and this one may fit the bill. For the relatively inform Fanshawe yard, this one has shaped with a small degree of promise a couple of times, win at wind and even run lto when could never quite produce a strong enough effort, over further today it should help and may be an outsider to follow. 5.15 Sister Act 9/1 var 7.5 pts e.w Frustrating last season, promised a lot from obvious family relation and also top class debut behind promising lead but faltered after that until winning on a/w lto. However this season at 4 she should not be dismissed at all, very possible she will improve a lot this season and whilst she could need the run, the relative form of the trainer at this stage of the season encourages. Definite place claims.

Re: Newmarket 23/05/08 Newmarket 4:40 Candle Trainer and jockey combo this season on Turf has 5 wins from 20. 3yo's has a +47.50 Level Stakes Profit from 13 runs, gaining 4 wins. Candle has been out since last October but connections' form looks very good to get him started in a very good way. 3-3-3-1 are his form from 2007. 2pts ew @ 25-1 Bet365 BOG

Trainer M L W Bell has a form of 1-3-5-1-2-2-10-3-4-10-3 since 16May with Oat Cuisine being his only runner today. Jockey Richard Hughes has a form of 1-2-5-10-3-1-2-2-7-5-7-3 since 22May. Oat Cuisine so far has a slow start on the switch to Turf from All Weather. Only Turf run by Oat Cuisine was a poor 12 of 13, beaten 28L on Good to Soft. All Weather form was 7-2-1-3-2 so I think price for today is acceptable. 3pts ew @ 22-1 Blue Square Newmarket 5:15 Princess Taylor Finished 3 of 11 and 7 of 11 the last two starts - both at Lingfield (AW). Previous 4 starts was on Turf for 3-2-2-1 on grounds of Sft, GF ,Gd, and Frm. 1m runs on Turf forms to 2-2-1. Not raced since December '07 but worth the bet at the price 3pts ew @ 18-1 Blue Square
