Re: Tennis 31st - 6th

lol i swear i saw davydenko on betfair mobile after he broke in the first game of the first set....
Why are Betfair offering markets on his matches this year? I'm off to complain:@:lol:lol That was stupid, Murray was around 2.4 after the first game which was ridiculous, should have made a profit in that match but let it ride and payed the price.

Didn't you make a profit? Mr Intensity: Actually, just layed Murray @ 1.65 as it should be over 1.70 like it was before. :dude

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th

More losses with Haase and Malisse' date=' terrible day, first bad one of the season.[/quote'] Was it bad luck? Or just poor picks? I think you know alot of tennis Mr Intensity. I have followed your picks on Haase, Malisse and Ljubicic. Some might say bad timing. I think otherwise, because your analyses are very good. And also your pre-match record for the past week proofed to be good. Il keep backing you up. I hope you can make some profit. Hang in there m8 :ok. This is a game of skill.

I'm sure he should have been favourite for the match, no way I could even call it 50/50. Davydenko may have been a bad pick. I thought he would get a good start (which he did) but I was surprised at how weak he was after that. Murray was excellent too. The two in Chennai, well, I never like it when there's a rain delay especially when it's not on TV. Malisse could look like a stupid pick at that price given the ranking of his opponent, but as I mentioned before the match there were a lot of factors in his favour. Also this seems to be a popular selection, especially judging by the pre match price movement. Haase I still think was a good pick, and that match could have gone either way. He was a set up and had a good chance. I like the price I got. Thank christ Li managed to come back against Schnyder, otherwise it could have been an awful day:lol

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th Llodra @ 1.61 Pinnacle v Sirianni. Llodra has been very impressive this week, beating some decent guys, he's looked very solid of serve and is playing well when it's tight. He's several levels above his opponent, and I think the class will tell. Sirianni is someone I know very little about. He's going to be 33 in a couple of weeks, and has a career high rank of 199 in 2003 and is currently 322. He had a decent run in challengers at the end of last year and seems to have carried that forward this week. Stepanek retired against him, then he beat the woefully inconsistant Querrey and an excellent final set breaker win against Mathieu. That match will be remember for all of the chances Mathieu missed, and to be honest I think Sirianni has been lucky with the draw to get this far. Llodra should take this down comfortably. Tsonga @ 1.8 Ladbrokes v Nieminen. Nice price from Ladbrokes for this one. Tsonga struggled in the first round but since then he's been absolutely flying destroying Gulbis and Hewitt in the last couple of days. He's the type of guy that when he gets on a roll he is very tough to stop and I can't see Nieminen doing it. Nieminen had a bit of a war with Spadea coming through in 3 breakers and that's really going to hurt in the heat. Nieminen is the type that likes to build rallies and move people around and I can't see it happening in this match - Tsonga will just hit through him too often. Azarenka @ 2.00 Coral v Li. Take this at best price at Coral because of there retirement rules;). Both Betfair and Pinnacle have Azarenka as favourite so I'm definately going to take the even money. Everyone knows I like Li and back her quite a bit, however, she was struggling with injury against Schnyder and again in the heat is going to suffer. I'm also a fan of Azarenka and she's coming off a good win against a tired Peer and I like her in this match up. She had an excellent run in the second half of last year finally producing the results her talent deserves and she seems to be continuing that form this week.

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th 1-2 overnight. Azarenka took the first set but got injured. I really need to stop playing these games where I can't trade out. Shocking performance from Tsonga, not sure where that came from. Llodra was solid again and comes through another tie break, that's 4-0 this week in tie breaks for him.

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th Not really interested in the Murray game today. He should come through and has looked good enough to have a great shot in the Aussie with the right draw. 1.34 at the moment doesn't look too appealing, especially the way Wawrinka has been serving. H2H is 2-0 to Wawrinka but it isn't a factor as both have improved a lot since the meetings. Wawrinka is 1-3 in ATP finals the only win coming when Djokovic retired during first set tie break (guess who backed Wawrinka at a big price at Betfair with there 1 set rule:() but he would have been expected to lose all of them. Murray is a bit disappointing 3-4 with a couple of poor losses to Clement and Robredo but his last one against Verdasco was excellent winning 6-2 6-3. I think the main thing is that Murray has started pretty slowly a few times this week and in the past this has been a trait of his. So, wait a few games and Wawrinka can produce a streak of winners to get the early break, then back Murray as definately see him winning this.

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th Layed Nadal @ 1.49 for pretty decent stakes (biggest of the week for me). We've seen this match up a lot, and it's currently 6-3 to Nadal. But from what we have seen, Youzhny has had quite a bit of success, especially on quicker surfaces. Youzhny has been class in his last two matches after a dodgy one earlier in the week. Nadal had a 4 hour war with Moya today, and that is a decent factor against him. He may be physically a bit tired, but we all know how fit he is, but the main thing is that he really really struggled against Moya. He was down in the third set and probably should have lost, he's going to have to play better than that against Youzhny. With the speed of this surface, I think Youzhny can get a lot of cheap points, his serving was excellent against Cilic, and I think he can come through. I'm expecting this price to drift overnight, and I'll then back Nadal for a little bit, but leaving most of the action on Youzhny.

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th LLodra is impressive this week: no set granted in front of players of a good level. To note 4 Tie-break won on 4. Micka did not lose only once his service since the beginning of the week. He is on form and his game of attack makes miracles here. He likes this tournament where he was a finalist in 2004.It will be its 4th final for a taken away tournament. As for Nieminen he lost 6 finales for 7 played. It shows the restlessness of this player during big match. But Llodra took away 13 titles in double what constitutes some supplementary experience. If he continues to be also imperial to the service, I think that he has the means to gain at least a set in front of Finn (in the tie-break for example). Llodra +1.5 set @1.95 at Betway

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th

EventRafael Nadal vs Mikhail Youzhny
SelectionMikhail Youzhny
Strength10/10
Date06/01/2008
Bookmaker/PricePinnacle Sports @ 2.80 (Back)
ReasoningNadal had a very exhausting´semi-final vs Moya and got very close to lose the match as Moya blew four matchpoints in 2nd set tie-break and failed to serve for match in third set. The match took 3 hours and 45 minutes and will give Nadal less than 24 hours to recover wich gives Youzhny a small chance he might take.

Re: Tennis 31st - 6th Jose Statham (NZL) - Albert Montanes (ESP) Albert Montanes (27 years, 46th world) is a part of his specialists of Clay surface who play only exceptionally on Hard: 31 matches since 2003 is 11 % of his matches, 8 victories for 23 defeats. His game is slow and misses cruelly power. Last year on this surface he had toiled to beat one no663 world. In brief if he is there it is because there are no tournaments on Clay at the moment, as this week when he lost in the 1st tour against Tursunov. Jose Statham (20 years, 561th world) is going to play for the 1st time a tournament ATP. It thanks to Wild Card. This match thus dresses a particular importance for him as far as it takes place at him in front of his public. Naturally the distance from classification is enormous between 2 players but the young person José is on the ascending slope: he won 300 places in one year. It is also its favorite surface and the motivation will be stronger at him. We saw this week with the stranger Sirianni what a very motivated player could make on his native ground in front of players not necessarily prepared well in this beginning of year. Re: Tennis 31st - 6th Dudi Sela - Julien Benneteau Benneteau is capable of the best as the worst. 2007 was one difficle year for him, not sure that he begins 2008 well. In front of an opponent in full confidence he could have difficulties. Sela had finishes 2007 with 9 victories on his last 10 matches. Dudi Sela @2.44 at Pinnacles
