morlspin
Re: WSOPe £5000 PL Omaha live updates Tony G doubles up through Rafi Amit On a flop of Tony G bets out 16,000 into a 32,000 pot and Rafi Amit puts out a stack of 5,000 chips, effectively a full pot raise. Tony shrugs and moves all his chips in. Rafi sighs and looks disgusted, but announces "I call". Tony opens for Jacks up with the nut flush draw. Rafi opens for........... The turn and river do not improve Rafi, however at the end of the hand he says "Straight", to which Tony G replies "I'm gone, on my bike" and stands up. The dealer, beleiving the players are serious, begins pushing the pot to Rafi. It doesn't take Tony long to stop him tho, and he now has just under 200,000. morlspin
Re: WSOPe £5000 PL Omaha live updates Dancing Queens Jon Persson and Andreas Hagen, who look like the offspring of Abba with their wispy blonde hair flopped over their faces, tangle in a battle of the blinds encounter. I joined the action on the flop of a with Persson check-raising his fellow Scandinavian and thinking gimme gimme gimme a fold. Hagen calls and the two players see a . "Mama mia!" thinks Persson as he checks what is clearly an unfavourable turn. Hagen takes a chance and checks behind him allowing the dealer to flip over the river. Huffing and puffing slightly, perhaps with a flopped two pair or even a straight, Persson checks. Hagen then chucks 20k into a near 100k bet, a bet so small that Persson surely can't resist. However, like the super trooper he is, he realises that he's probably behind and being teased into calling, and so makes the fold. As a result, the winner takes it all and Hagen scoops in all the money money money to leave Persson with 115,000, a far cry from the near 200k he possessed not too long ago. Bubble Trouble For Hayden Will Hayden has been eliminated on the bubble. Hayden raised to 14,000 pre-flop and was called in two places, Andy Bloch on the button and Dario Alioto in the big blind. Flop = Hayden moves all-in for 23k and Bloch calls. Alioto folds. Bloch = Hayden = Turn = River = Hayden is out in the 19th place and, as dear Anne Robinson would say, goes home with nothing. morlspin
Re: WSOPe £5000 PL Omaha live updates Farnood Calls the Clock on Bloch The adrenalin appears to be pumping as the left-handside table becomes more and more vocal as time passes. The last hand I witnessed involved Sherkhan Farnood re-raising Bloch's initial raise of 20k before calling the clock on Bloch. There was a bit of a debate regarding how long Bloch had been given to think, but by the time they'd agreed upon that about a decade had passed. "I would have folded ages ago if you hadn't called the clock," announced Bloch amusingly. At this point, he did indeed fold, but in all the excitement, Rafi Amit picked up Farnood's cards and mumbled, "Let's have a look at what you've got here." It was all very good humoured, with the noise deriving from Farnood and Amit resulting in hushes from the table next door, but the TD decided to issue Rafi with a warning threatening the sin bin for the next offense. If anyone has watched Rafi Amit play before, he's not a shy lad. He shouts every time he speaks and isn't afraid to say what's on his mind. Consequently, I can imagine him causing quite a stir with some of the more reserved players. I look forward to seeing Rafi Amit and Tony G crossing swords at the table and tangling in a non-stop verbal needle fest.
morlspin
Re: WSOPe £5000 PL Omaha live updates Sick Laydown Ted Forrest just made a sickening laydown. David Callaghan goes all in, Ted Forrest reraises to isolate him, Antoine Arnault throws more chips in the pot, but not enough to be a reraise and he didn't announce raise, so it counts as a call. Forrest only has 10,000 chips left in a 200k pot. Arnualt bets Teds last 10000, Ted does not like the flop. He dwells up forever and eventually folds, despite getting 20-1. He looks unhappy about it. Good fold though, Callaghan has Aces, Arnault has Kings and Callaghan doubles up. Forrest is on his last breath.

morlspin
Re: WSOPe £5000 PL Omaha live updates The Bank Of Farnood Word on the grapevine is that Sherkhan Farnood owns the Kabul Bank in Dubai and perhaps didn't require backers for this event. He's obviously a very friendly banker, loaning out a chunk of chips to John Duthie and doubling up the EPT entrepreneur in the process. With , the Duthster had Farnood's pipped pre-flop, and even more pipped on the flop. A turn followed by a river gave Duthie the winning hand with just one pair, avoiding the King or Eight that would have straightened Farnood's hand.
