Thanks again David, been reasonable up to now, first week unproofed 5 correct aways from 5.Last week 7 correct homes from 8 so a bit of a mixed bag really. Bad news for you Ads as your home town Ballarat away to Avondale are showing at 553 in favour of the home side, so maybe I can be proved wrong with this selection.Cheers guys.;) I can give the whole list if anyone is interested.

Re: Top 8 Aussie Power Ratings Sat 26th May. ..... thanks for the interest Ads. The Power Ratings used are the measure between matches previously played by way of the victory/defeat margins. All teams start off equal and by way of mathematical calculations rise and fall above/below the set bench mark.As matches are played each week the ratings rise and fall according to the goal margins.Therefore the rating you see above are the differences between the the two sides prior to playing and to three decimal places, but with the decimal left out. Say the bottom placed team beat the top team, would they get more ranking points than say if they beat the second bottom team?

It's strictly down to the worth of the win ie margin of victory.There is a small home advantage decimal built in and the use of an adjuster after the team ratings have been subtracted from one another.So although league position does not play a part, if a lowly team with a lowly rating wins hansomely against one of the big guns,particularly away from home, this would indeed attract a bigger adjustment to its next rating simply by virtue of the scale of the win.Also teams obtaining really large wins, say 10-0 etc, that too would attract a good weighting and would be worth more if the win was say against a team of near equal rating rather than a team languishing near the bottom with poor rating figures.Hope this explains a little more, but please shout if you need further explanations.Cheers.;)

Re: Top 8 Aussie Power Ratings Sat 26th May. A quick look around the various sites and Perth, Canning & Dianella are all heavily fancied to records wins. Diamond Valley, Nunawading & Cairnlea(last season they were called Albion Rovers) also catch my eye. Will have a closer look the morrow before deciding am not too keen on the short priced teams from these leagues and the first 3 teams all fall into that list but Merlin showed last week with 7 out of 8 homes correct at short prices what can be achieved.

The one I can't get away from at the momment, judged on their last two games and the opposition, is Playford (11/10 with 365) I will take them on a equal stake with all bets as a cover. worth a look.

Diamond V won 5-0 last week against the other promoted side Heatherton and should win here again. Fitzroy v Nunawading Fitzroy are rock bottom of the league having lost 5 out of 5. Nunawading have been inconsistent and have actually lost the last 2 games but they are heavily fancied on the forums. Wanneroo v Sorrento Last years champs Sorrento are struggling badly having lost the majority of their squad and having had a few injuries this season. They are bottom of the league having lost all 6 games but face Wanneroo who are struggling also with only 1 point. Sorrento played better last week only losing 1-0 to the league leaders and will have some injured players back for this game. They are being tipped again on the forums to win this game. Canning v Queens Park Promoted side Queens Park are struggling with 1 point from 6 games while Canning sit 3rd in the league with 4 wins and 2 draws. Again they are been heavily tipped to be too much for Queens Park and based on these factors should hopefully win. Larlor v Cairnlea Cairnlea top the league having brought in a few new faces this year while Larlor have drawn 4 of their 5 games mainly against teams in the lower half of the league. Comets... 1.36 favs draw 2-2: Had this: Diamond Valley Nunawading Comets Canning Cairnlea 5x 4 fold bets.... total stake 30.00.... to win 256.52 .... and the comets 2-2 draw was the only fault in it... killed me really... I saw all results but comets and canning they were both heavy favs @ home and thought I had it in the bag... however this seems to be the way my betting is goin ATM down the shit when I least expect it... might take a break.... congrats on all winners 2nite... does any1 know when they pay these out usually?
