Re: F 1 - Bahrain GP - weekend of 15/4 Bahrain then and I think Ferrari will look to get back on top over Mclaren. In the practice sessions it looks as if Kimi Raikkonen is the fastest around this track. He produced a sub standard performance in Sepang and will be desperate to hit back quickly. If hes really on his A game then he should at least dominate qualifying and possibly the race. Massa doesnt seem to be on the pace much here an his confidence is probably lowered a bit after the bad race he had in Sepang. On the qualifying note, hes in the best car but I just dont feel at the moment that he has a pole position lap in him. Alonso has the ability but I'd fancy him in the race rather than qualifying. Of the 4 main runners hes definitely the most inteligent and might pace himself on the Saturday. Hes definitely a runner for the race though if he gets it right. Hamilton is an interesting one, he has looked quick in practice, but can hye convert into qualifying. In the previous two saturdays, he hasnt looked out of his depth, but equally hasnt really threatened the front row. I think it would take one hell of a spectacular performance for him to nab pole. In the race though again he's overpriced for the podium. I think he has the edge over Massa at this circuit and has every chance of getting in the top 3 @ 2.10 odds. so I favour Kimi both in QF and in the race although only 3/10 stakes on both of these bets. Both decent odds and if he really nails qualifying then his race price will go down. The other bet I will take at the moment is Trulli to get in the points. He did well in Malaysia to obtian 7th spot and produced one of his better race drives. Hes has a good track record here in Bahrain finishing 4th in 2005, 2nd in 2005 although missed out last year. Early signs are that he will do well this weekend, so @ 2.50 worth a punt IMO. He will always be a good qualifier as well which is a bonus. Kimi Raikkonen pole @ 2.37 Stanjames 3/10 Kimi Raikkonen race win @ 2.80 Betfair 3/10 Hamilton podium @ 2.10 S Odds 3/10 Trulli points @ 2.50 Bluesquare 2/10

Re: F 1 - Bahrain GP - weekend of 15/4 from Pinnacle if its any use to you;) Yalla Bahrain The Bahrain Grand Prix gets under way on April 15th, but two months of celebrations under the banner of ‘Yalla Bahrain’ (Let’s go Bahrain) have already provided an almighty build up. The campaign served as a message to Bernie Ecclestone that the race should remain in the calendar despite the persistent rumours that Abu Dhabi’s admission for 2009, could be at Bahrain’s expense. Though it was important that there were no injuries from an international soccer competition between drivers and teams, the most important element of the festivities for F1 punters was the testing that took place at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) on February 22-24 and February 27th-March 1st. The data from these sessions will provide useful hints as to those teams tuned up for the track. Bahrain has only hosted F1 racing since 2004, when Ferrari recorded a 1-2. Since then, Renault has dominated with Fernando Alonso winning back-to-back races. The Spaniard has of course moved on to McLaren, Who recorded a 1-2 in Malaysia, with the Spaniard taking the flag, and making him a hot favourite for this race. Burning Rubber Historically teams using Bridgestone Tyres have enjoyed a distinct advantage in the hot conditions of Bahrain. However, with Bridgestone the sole tyre supplier this season, the playing field is level from that perspective. The company will be taking a ‘hard’ and ’soft’ compound tyre to each race this year, with the rule that each driver must use both types during the race. Though drivers will be relieved to leave Malaysia’s humidity behind, the dry heat of Bahrain’s desert landscape, in which the Sakhir circuit sits, presents its own challenges. Aside from the 40 degree heat, drifting sand poses two major problems. Firstly tailing cars can expect to be sandblasted by those in front, so despite compromising absolute aerodynamic efficiency, heavy duty air filters are essential. Secondly, the inevitable drift of sand onto the track creates an unreliable braking surface. All of this conspires to make a good, stable set-up an important confidence variable for the driver. The New Breed of Track Searing heat is not the only thing that the relatively new circuits of Malaysia and Bahrain have in common. Both were designed by F1’s in-house German architect, Herman Tilke, renowned for designing exciting tracks which promote passing. Futuristic double-sided grandstands please the spectators whilst at all times, safety is upper-most. Tike’s designs feature an eclectic mix of sweeping bends with high-speed changes of direction, hairpins with a couple of decent straights and good overtaking opportunities at both tracks. With a large portion of each lap spent in full throttle, Bahrain is one of the more testing tracks for engine reliability that the teams will experience all year.

Re: F 1 - Bahrain GP - weekend of 15/4 well, well, massa non convincing as pole position holder, hamilton is definitely the new star of formula1, we must use to live with him in podium and winner of course ( perhaps tomorrow will win) raikkonen is able to win also as the experienced one, no doupt ferrari is extremely fast again, i go safety: massa to classify raikkonen to classify alonso to classify hamilton to classify thnx, only a crash should destroy my bet, but i dont think so\ bye bye

Re: F 1 - Bahrain GP - weekend of 15/4 Coulthard not to classify at 13/8 over at Stan James seems like good value. What am I missing here? His car is clearly not up to the job after yesterday's absymal qualifying session and failing to finish in Malaysia. What have Red Bull done overnight that warrants a 4/9 quote that Dave will finish the race come hell and high water?

Re: F 1 - Bahrain GP - weekend of 15/4 I think Massa is fueld very very light on the grid. Kimi Raikkonen was faster than him in both Friday Practice's and Sat practice and suddenly he's 0.5s faster than him? I tihnk Ferrari have the pace to win this one. Raikkonen to win @ 2/1 Lap 1 Retirements (Exactly 2 @ 13/2) Trulli for points @ 10/11 Rosberg for points @ 10/11

Re: F 1 - Bahrain GP - weekend of 15/4 Alonso outright win for me @ 4.00 bet365 I think it might just be too early for young Hamilton, Massa has made a few mistakes so far this season and so i dont expect him to retain the lead. A battle between Kimi and Fernando, one which i will give the advantage just to alonso.
