You've been playing really tight, your table image will most likely have been recognised, whose to say you didnt raise with AK/AQ? Follow through your raises with a bet out on the flop, if he calls you most likely have 2 free cards to hit your set and cripple his stack as he'll check to you on the turn 90% of the time. If he comes over the top on the flop you can muck it and continue with the game ;) Great to see you improving your game though, becoming a top quality player :ok

Would have been an option defo. I tend to mix up my play all depending on the palyer I am up against. I dont like AKo tbh its not a hand I do well on so dont always play it as aggressivly as i could. When I am at a table I dont really play 1 particular style it all does depend on position and opposition for me.

Im quite happy with the call with AK since it is an unmade hand. Ill wait till i hit and then push in. The original raiser is most likely playing with a mid-high pair and if you push in (although you're getting great odds with your 2 overcards) there's still slightly more than a 50% chance the pair will hold up. Im happy with waiting till i know my hand is best and then push the rest in.

Re: Cash game hands No updates for a while, managed to lose a few hundred $ with some aweful badbeats so decided to have a break. Now changed slightly, i now only play with 1/50th of my bankroll. And wont move up to the next level until I have enough to cover 1/50th again. With $1000 in my account still, i will be playing on the $20 buyins.

No updates for a while, managed to lose a few hundred $ with some aweful badbeats so decided to have a break. Now changed slightly, i now only play with 1/50th of my bankroll. And wont move up to the next level until I have enough to cover 1/50th again. With $1000 in my account still, i will be playing on the $20 buyins.

Was wondering where you got off to :) A break is the best thing after a string of bad beats as it will put you on major tilt. I learnt it the hard way but can control it now. 1/50th Bankroll is a good idea, it will minimise losses & with your stable play recently should limit the risk on your side.
