You are playing your hands very selectively, so you'll need to adopt a more aggressive mindframe postflop. In position on the turn is a great place to be (especially with some of the monsters youve been getting), a min or 2x raise on the turn will fill up a lot of those gaps and will probably add a few extra $$$ to the account. :welcome to PL mate and thanks for your input. Its funny you talk about me being more aggressive I was only saying last night that is my aim for the next week or so to see how I fair.

Lol thanks, been a lurker since pretty much day one lol. Im not too sure on the new strategy so far, you seemed to have widened the range of raising hands from the hands posted so far. Quite a bit of bluffing too, think most of them were called. Thats the beauty of when your starting hand requirements are really tight, even if you get called down you're a pretty big favourite to take the pot.

It seems to me that you could have squeezed a little more out of this hand, although obviously the flush and straight are dangers did you decide there were too many draws for you to allow this hand to continue, or did you hope to get a fishing call, or were you mixing it up a little? Personally I think that sometimes you have to take a chance that the drawers won't hit on the turn in order to get that extra profit... or is that a flaw in my thinking? :unsure

In a cash game, whether someone hits their draw or not on a single (or multiple) occurences is of no significance ..... all that matters is that they pay too much for their draw (including implied odds!!! i.e. will you pay them off if they hit?) If they choose to draw at the wrong price, then you should consider you are in profit from that hand ..... whether they hit or not..... If you have a made hand, and they have a draw, and you give them a free card to that draw, then you are giving them the chance to outdraw you for free ..... you should be charging them the wrong price for their draw ..... i.e. more than they should be prepared to pay ..... if they pay, they are making an error and you have an edge over them .... whether they hit or not....

(can also be read as $17.50 into $52.50 if you count the total pot after you make the cal as the amount you are winning in which case its 3-1) a flush draw will hit on the turn 1 time in 6. so as long as he thinks he will get another $35 ($52.50 in 2nd case) into the pot, a pot size bet will not chase him off. i you overbet the pot say $25, and have $70 left, there will be, $17.50+$25 = $42.50 in the pot with the opponent having to stake $25 to call. odds of 1.7 to 1. however if he thinks staffy ill go all in regardless of the flush hitting. ($67.50 in the pot, $70 left in his stack, fairly possible) he gets $25 into $112.50 or 4.5 to one to call. which is good enough odds to call if he can hit on the turn OR river. but not the turn. i'd recommend the all in to be safe, or pot size if you're feeling lucky :)

Re: Cash game hands There is a ~17-20% chance that he will make the nuts on the turn, depending on what kicker he has with his Ace. If he has AJ he has a 20% chance of hitting it, whereas if it's Ax hearts then it's ~17% (since the Jh will make staffy his fullhouse). You can make the implied odds for him look really generous, but we're gonna have to give staffy the benefit of the doutb, that if he's called & a 3rd heart comes down that he'll be able to away from it. Whereas if an A or 2nd J come down, our caller with the nut flush, may feel he's in pretty good shape & the implied odds will work in our favour if he's chasing the nut flush. Now lets not forget, staffy is on the button so in position in this hand also, so if our opponent goes all in when a 3rd heart comes down then well we can smell something fishy. Whereas, if he tries to slowplay it and checks/makes it cheap, we now have a ~22% redraw to our fullhouse. I'll stick to my original opinion that a bit bigger than pot sized bet is the right move to make here.

I have dumped Stars now. Didnt like it. Too many idiots playing and just generally didnt like it and gone back to Prima. Not posted for a few days been busy but not much has changed. Also what I have decided is I am going to play a few 6 seater tables for a while to see if i prefer them.

i'm playing the $0.50/$1 stakes on crypto. showing a decent profit. just finished playing for the day after only 387 hands, $222 profit, $38.50 rake (32% rakeback). the shorthanded tables tend to be fairly full of fish. i couldnt say about the full oens, but the pots look pretty big. the lowest is $0.15/$0.25 so this is only the 3rd level. you might wanna give it a shot here. plenty of liquidity during peak hours.
