Rafa
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +30% yield. 43 bets. Probably a very obvious question but do you track all your boxes through Excel or if not how so (would it be possible to e-mail out a version of one)? Is the system dependant on getting 1.85 in odds? rado_tdr
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +30% yield. 43 bets. Hi Muppet I follow your system very closely. At the moment I try myself one idea with odd/even bets and I wanto to ask you something. You told that you have made backtesting on 13 seasons, can you please tell me have you checked every team and if so, can you please tell me which is the longest streak only odd or only even and if this happen rarly ot more often. I look for the last season but it takes very much time so if you can help me that will be very nice. If you can tell me is the % odd/even for the teams I mean only if there are teams with many% only odd or only even, for example last year Tottenham has 23 to 15. I dont want to waste your time only if you can look in your datdabase. Thank you in advice!!!
muppet77
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +30% yield. 43 bets. sorry mate, do you want the stas for each team at the moment in this season's prem? eg longest streak 1993-2006 arsenal 9 in 2002/3 aston villa .... everton... OR do you want the longest streak by any team in the 13 years? EXAMPLE norwich 18 odds in 2001/2 it will be easy for me to look up - just let me know. rado_tdr
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +30% yield. 43 bets. Well I havent think about it. For me it is important to know how long can one streak go and how many odd/even can one team made in one season (statistikly). I want to contact you personaly. I have some ideas for you and probably we can help each other. How can I post PMs here.

merlin
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +22% yield. 64 bets. .... Hello there Muppet young fella, just been through 11 pages of very absorbing stuff here with my cup of coffee and biscuit,my compliments on a very interesting and factual thread. What I like about this is that you have stuck to your guns amid the usual knockers when your firm belief is that you feel that there is something advantageous in this system. I really believe also that there is something here for Mr.Average Punter provided that one does not get carried away. The facts and figures from seasons ago, and also the box idea lend their intrigue, and the amended staking plan are all positive steps in the right direction. One question springs to mind, do the box numbers go on forever and ever? Why is it that you cannot say return to Box 1 after 10 is launched? Anyway a creditable system and one that I shall be following with interest, and will return gladly on this fast moving topic! Good luck fella!;) ps Forget to mention, that I thought your consortium idea was not far off the mark and merits some further consideration. muppet77
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +22% yield. 64 bets. cheers merlin :cow the boxes do not have to go on for ever - although they will as this is the best way to record and calculate them on my spreadsheet. the consortium has not really been discussed up until now. i think that it is the only way in which a huge bet can be tackled - it will crop up sooner or later. rather than members pay week by week or match by match i see them paying a sum (20 quid) and this can be put into a kitty. profits and losses can clearly be seen on this thread. when a big bet comes along then the kitty is used. every month or so any extra profit can be evenly redistributed. anyone who's interested in the consortium idea or who has any ideas, just post here. keep up the belief! :clap

One question from me, how do you decide which box each bet goes into? Are your selections ranked ? with the best one going into the box that really needs the win? muppet77
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +22% yield. 64 bets. Muppet, you put the Great in Great Britain! my job is now complete after a quote like that, cheers mate! :cow i decided that i would put the picks into boxes in date order, with prem going before champ - that way the older boxes that struggle get prem games, which i believe is more profitable. after that it is just done on alphabetical order of the home team, to eliminate bias. i need to have a system and stick to it, else as soon as i swap things around i will kick myself if it goes tits up. box ranking: date league home team alphabetical

As the boxes progress along it's you who is making the loss and the next box is in effect a loss recovery - by splitting the big stake at the end amongst a consortium (assuming you are a part of it) you will only return a % of the amount already lost. Have I misunderstood ?? :$
muppet77
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +22% yield. 64 bets. eeerrrr.....not sure mate, let me think aloud. 10 people put 10 pounds in to the kitty. =100 round one gives a profit of a pound, so kitty is now at 101. if people wanted to pull out at this stage they could 'withdraw' a sum of 10.10 when a larger sum is needed, the kitty of 10 people is making it more likely to happen than just one. as each person takes an equal %, then the overall yield is still the same? i think? Kanga
Re: odd/even total goals. SINGLES. +22% yield. 64 bets. Ah Gotcha ! Sorry I thought you were saying that as the box got to a 6+ you would then make just that stake a consortium. The other ways to deal with this is :- 1) Set a stop loss as with share trading and bite the bullet. 2) Play it in running and trade out. :ok
