Re: Australian A-League: Round 4 FT: Queensland Roar 5 - 0 New Zealand Knights 7' M. McKay 54' Reinaldo (pen.) 71' S. Lynch 80' A. Milicic 85' M. McKay Queensland were brilliant tonight and could have won by many more goals...They dominated the 2nd half and had around 23 shots at goal to the Knights 6 which basically tells the story...Queensland have good players on the bench, and also not playing, so they seem to be in a very strong position to make an assault on the title...Reinaldo is all class and Chang had an excellent debut when he came on, having a hand in a couple of goals, and could have had 2 himself. The Knights, well they know how to pass the ball around the midfield, but that's about it, they were enterprising in the first half, but in the second stanza they were ordinary to say the least.

Good stuff Darknights!!! A League been kind to me so far this season and games going the way I am thinking which is great, I am realistic enough to know that it won't always be that way, but have to take the good with the bad, and at the moment it's all good.

Adelaide United will be out to carry the momentum from last weeks 5-1 win over the Newcastle Jets into their second home game of the season against Perth Glory on Saturday night. A big plus for Adelaide is that Perth Glory’s quality playmaker Stan Lazaridis will miss Saturday night’s game after failing to over come a soft tissue injury sustained in last weekend’s match. Lazaridis has struggled to train at full pace this week after a hard challenge against him late in the second half against Sydney FC left him with a swollen knee. Scans earlier in the week revealed no structural damage but Coach Ron Smith didn’t want to take any chances with his star signing. After failing to score in the first two rounds of the Hyundai A-League away from home, Adelaide United returned to Hindmarsh Stadium and showed the form that had them on the top of the table last season. Midfielder Matthew Kemp comes into the squad and replaces under 20 signing Nathan Burns who is in Malaysia with the Young Socceroos. Michael Valkanis also returns to the squad after missing the win last week, replacing his fellow defender Richie Alagich who has a hamstring strain. A big crowd is expected at Hindmarsh Stadium tonight and this should be a pretty good game between a resurging Adelaide and a fighting Perth who have showed they are an ultra competitive outfit after defeating last year’s grand finalists the Central Coast Mariners in round 2 and holding Sydney FC to a draw in the last round. Laziridis is a huge loss to Perth as he provides so much dash and run down the left flank and through the midfield. Adelaide showed last week they are on the way back to form and I think Adelaide are good things in this game and the $1-85 for the win is very enticing. I advise punters to snap it up as Adelaide should win this game all things being equal. Adelaide is also currently showing $3-45 for the -1 Handicap With Draw and are quite capable of winning by 2 goals with Laziridis out for the glory, but I don't want to be greedy so am simply opting for the straight win myself. One thing I should mention is that Adelaide have never beaten Perth at Hindmarsh Stadium so kep that in mind when placing your bet :) BET Adelaide United to win @ $1-85 at Centrebet

Re: Australian A-League: Round 4 I was just lookig for an early game last weekend (as it is I late morning here in Romania at the time of the game), and won a few points with Adaleide. I rarely bet Aussie games as i don't know the league but based on youre posts and on the fact that Adalaide won me some nice money last weekend i'm gonna pick them again. So Adelaide United to win @ 1.83 at Gamebookers. GL :hope:hope

I've got all the home team in an accumulator bet this weekend :) Lets hope nothing go wrong this week since the trend on A-League punters this week is backing home. Good luck guys :hope:hope:hope
I have the same bet as a side interest for around $7-30 or so if I remember rightly and Adelaide and Sydney should both win there games IMO and Melbourne should beat the Mariners although the latter have a great record against the Victory, but I am expecting Melbourne to win on current form. One down and three to go!!!

Good Luck King!!! Adelaide were the A Leagues most consistent side last season and taken a few weeks to find some form...They played a few consecutive pre season & A League games away from home and were a bit tired early on I think...Playing at home last week seemed to rejuvenate them and this week they are at home again after a 5 goal scorefest and playing Perth without it's best player and I would expect nothing less than an Adelaide win. cheers :cheers

Re: Australian A-League: Round 4 Great discussion you got going here guys. I also had Queensland to win on the handicap an had a bit of a dab at the 2-0 result. Was looking good there for a while too Queensland look very convincing at the moment, they are the form team and the best bit about them is that they have a very good defence with an even better attack. Deffinately a team to look out for in coming weeks if they continue to play like that

Re: Australian A-League: Round 4 Hi guys, strong start for all last night I see, well done, hopefully this will be a profitable weekend. Just popping in to have a crack at the overs in tonights game, AU V PG, the over 2.5 is @ 1.85, which is not great but given the history of these clubs, Lazaridies missing, and Adelaides determination to right the poor start to the season I see this one being fast paced, attacking end to end football that should see us over the 2.5 line. I am also going to have a very small stake at the draw here, Adelaide were lucky to come up against a very very poor newcastle defence last week and I am not sure that this win indicates the great form that has seen them into 1.70 this week, on the otherside Perth are a side that can grind out a result in these tight games and I think they will push Adelaide, as New Zealand did, I see it being a physical match up and a late Perth equaliser. Starting Bank: 83.6 (16.4 down from last week) 15 Points to AU V PG over 2.5 goals @ 1.85 on Sportingbet 7Points to the Draw AU V PG @ 3.35 on Sportingbet :hope:hope:hope:hope

Adelaide were lucky to come up against a very very poor newcastle defence last week and I am not sure that this win indicates the great form that has seen them into 1.70 this week' date=' on the otherside Perth are a side that can grind out a result in these tight games and I think they will push Adelaide, as New Zealand did, I see it being a physical match up and a late Perth equaliser.[/quote'] Those thoughts entered my head too Miguel...The Jets inept defence more or less gifted Adelaide a couple of goals last week and made the win appear better than it looked, but I still liked the way Adelaide attacked and created chances and the win will do wonders for there confidence...They were one of the best teams from last season and struggling to find the back of the net...Now they have found the back of the net last week and with the home ground for the second week in a row, I reckon the will have the eye of the tiger and be too good...I feel Lazaridis has carried Perth so far this season and he will be sorely missed and was thinking the draw may have been a chance if he had of played...When I found out Stan was not playing and the price was still the same for an Adelaide win I was quite surprised...Perth are an enterprising side from what I have seen this season and I like the way they play the game, but it's Adelaide all the way for me.

Re: Australian A-League: Round 4 Hello everybody At first I wanted to bet on Adelaide, but now i am doubting. Adelaide won against the Jets, but you can see them turning the tables around in 1 week. Perth is tougher to play and wont be giving any gifts. So I would like to see how Adelaide gets off today, if they win then i will be convinced, but we will have to see. I think I am going to skip it. But good luck if you bet on it. :ok

Good idea if you are not sure Rokhis... You are right Adelaide were gifted a couple but still scored 3 of their own and created many chances and looked impressive and I hope my faith in them is justified tonight. The Jets gifted Queensland Roar some goals too when they played and they beat Perth 3-0 This is Perth's last 8 away games and only 3 wins Two against the Jets and one against the Knights

I am banking on Laziridis being a big loss and forgiving Adelaide's first couple of games as they were great side last season and they are playing second game in a row at home.

Re: Australian A-League: Round 4

I just woke up to, turned on the computer and see that Adaleide is leading!! YEAH Go Adelaide!!!
I'll be happy if it stays 1-0 for the rest of the game but I am wanting another Adelaide goal for a bit of breathing space...I am still recovering from Chatearoux's 93min goal last night and don't need any more games like that lol Radio stream a bit dull and never know who has the ball but luckily enough Fernando is in the play a bit so I know it's Adelaide then :beer
