NI Trophy Snooker

Re: NI Trophy Snooker I´m not changing snooker for primera, I´m in a bad run in snooker so I can´t lose more money. Next week will begin Spanish Leagues, I always bet a lot on this leagues because I´m from Spain, I know the teams and I watch a lot of matches. And this isn´t a change snooker for primera, this is a change snooker and spanish leagues (primera, segunda and segunda b) to only spanish leagues.

Re: NI Trophy Snooker Don't know about you guys, but I'm quite looking forward to tommorows final...

Ronnie must be back to near his fluent best. Beating Ryan Day in less than an hour suggests that.
and he anhialated Dale, that was impressive, I watched it all, only took an hour! Ronnie certainly is on form and it would be difficult to oppose. However we all know Ronnie is unpredictable, and I don't think he's been put under a sustained amount of pressure throughout the torney... Ding looked a bit pressured at one point in the other match, but still whooped Lee. Ding is an impressive attacking player, he can really turn it on at times, and knocks in consistant big breaks. What I look forward to most is if Ding can put some pressure on Ronnie and keep it on, I look forward to seeing if Ronnie really has managed to "center himself", or if his game breaks down. I look forward to seeing if Ding can handle an attacking phase from Ronnie. Also I look forward to if he can contain the game enought to not let Ronnie in (I have my suspitions about this, tonights game showed his saftey and stratagy are good, but not prone to going wrong) On the betting front the value is clearly with Ding @ 3.25, but I find myself apprihensve. I think the better bet is to gamble that Ding will take it closer than Dale did! StanJames have a handicap of Ding +3 @ 2.20, this seems good value, I think Ding might be able to win it, but also I feel Ding can definatally take it close to Ronnie with a bit of high pressure attack play that Ding seem's to love. No bet as of yet, get some study first. What does everyone think of the final???

Re: NI Trophy Snooker It's all about the start for me. If Ding doesn't go in level after 4 frames at worst he needn't bother coming out for the evening session! Tbh I'm not sure it's possible to get close to Ronnie on this form. 10pts R.O'Sullivan (-2.5 frames) to beat D.Junhui 5/6 Ladbrokes O'Sullivan has been superb in this tournament so far, this is the O'Sullivan that blitzed Hendry and Dott in the World Champs in 2004. In a best of 17 frame match, as good as Ding is I'm not sure a 2.5 frame start is going to be enough. Whenever O'Sullivan is enjoying his snooker he's dangerous and he claims he's really enjoying it this week. O'Sullivan knows Ding is the future of snooker and will look to put on a show against him. I don't see Ding getting close on both players form thus far this week and Ronnie can win 9-6 or better to win the bet and that's where my money is going. I'm also going to have a few quid on 4 and 5 centuries at Ladbrokes. 13/2 and 16/1 respectively.

Re: NI Trophy Snooker No bet for me, but I still think Ding can maybe get some pressure on Ronnie and try to crack that delicate nut that is Ronnies attitude.... Ronnie does look amazing tho. Lets see what Ding is made of! I'll be chearing on the Asian invader, and maybe a little flutter on him to take it closer, perhaps Dint +3 with the saver on the tie...

Re: NI Trophy Snooker There's those big wholes in Ronnies phycii, losing interest, making rash shot judgements. Ding put some sustained attack in and Ronnies folded in like superman on laundry day. Prices on Ding well down now, lol. Tonights session should see Ronnie fighting back though. I predict a frame exchange for the first 4, then Ding to put some more pressure on as the rockets fuel runs out. FOr a bit of fun... 2.6 pts Junhei wins 9-7 @ 7.00 Bet365 2.4 pts Junhei wins 9-6 @ 7.50 StanJames Both bets return 18 pts each so from 5 pts investment either is good...

Re: NI Trophy Snooker I agree, Ronnies saftey is poor, and at some times he seems to be playing pool. Dings saftey game seems if anything tighter that yesterday... Edit: 20:47 Argh! Ronnie revival brings it to best of 5... Anything but that, 7-5 but not 6-6, In a best of 5 with ronnie coming off the back of winning 3 in a row with a 140 break, I don't think Ding will be able to recover. C'monn Ding, don't let it phase yer! Put some pressure back!!!

Re: NI Trophy Snooker

2.6 pts Junhei wins 9-7 @ 7.00 Bet365 2.4 pts Junhei wins 9-6 @ 7.50 StanJames
Returns 18.2 pts nte-post Return (Stake) : 0.0 pts (20.0 pts) [2 bets/] Qualifying Return (Stake) : 4.52 pts (20.0 pts)[1 bet] Last 32 Return (Stake) : 26.19 pts (30.0 pts) [5 bets] Last 16 Return (Stake) : 5.49 pts (12.0 pts) [3 bets] Quarter Final Return (Stake) : 25.0 pts (10.0 pts) [1 bet] Final Return (Stake) : 18.2 pts (5.0 pts) [2 bets] Total Return (Stake) : 79.40 pts (97.0 pts) [14 bets] Profit: -17.6 pts :cry:wall :eyes Great final, you gotta love the way Ding plays, mental approch never falters! And as I suspected, Ronnies the same old unpredictable Ronnie, Based on the routes to the finals, Ronnie should have won that. But some great pressure from Ding when he came back from 3-1 and when Ronnie tied and Ding just pushed on for the next 3 won it for Ding, great stuff. Pot Black next, and that looks like a bizarre torney, best of 1's. Any advise for that type of tornement? How did you eny up Kevshat? In profit I hope...

Cheers for that Zulu. I've not had time to tot it up. Am happy I ended the week in profit though. As for you, a good finish mate and I'm sure you'll come back strong in the Pot Black :ok

Re: NI Trophy Snooker cheers mate, was thinking about the Pot Black. A thought occured where we could do a little rating experiment... Here's what I got so far (just a brain storm): Take every main tour tornament from last season (EXCLUDING the pot black[see later], and the WC[as this clearly favours long tornament play and players won't be after the opening frame]). Every player that won the first frame in a match gets a point for each opening frame they won. Take last years Pot Black, every player that won a single frame gets 2 points for each single frame they won. (To account for Pot Black specialist) Take the NI trophy, every player that won an opening frame gets 2 points, for each opening frame they won during the torney. (This accounts for most recent form, out of the starting blocks). What that should leave us with is an indication of which players are good at winning the first frame of a match. As Pot Black is a single frame torney, the rating could be compared. By including the recent form and Pot Black bias (2 point-ers) it should push quick starters up the ratings a bit. As I said just an idea, I would love to hear your critique and suggestions...
