robilaruk
really confused about this hand - i limped call from MP as most folks were and I though KQ represented a bit of value this time so loads of action on the flop - so whats my play? Max has not been slowplaying Premium PP PF - he's had AA, and bet his top pair poor kicker, but not shoved before Jul 31 <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />19:44:43] : Hand Start.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 1 : bongalong has $1,650 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 2 : toby g has $1,660 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 3 : maxwhitty has $1,875 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 4 : HERO has $1,650 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 5 : platy has $2,330 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 6 : aces al has $1,470 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 7 : 88BADGER88 has $2,835 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 8 : DUDADDUDA has $2,410 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : Seat 9 : mactavish has $2,120 [Jul 31 19:44:43] : aces al is the dealer. robilaruk
Re: top 2 pair with bet and shove in front of you you sure?? that leaves me 75 chips Damo (i realise you mean the 240 - someone shoved for 1575 chips:D ) flat call. looks like he's got straight draw. Masterplan
Re: top 2 pair with bet and shove in front of you ok, well no choice but to shove then. you cant lay it down to the possibility of JT limp. if you had more chips ... this would be a more dangerous flop imo and could be foldable. but you need to maximise this, one guys bet at it already. he may well have you beat before the shove. PokerBarney
Re: top 2 pair with bet and shove in front of you I don't think he'd shove with a straight draw with so many limpers. Someone is bound to look him up with TP or something similar. If I had a set of 9s, I'd shove here to get rid of straight drawers. Or, if I'm an idiot fish playing low stakes, I'd push JT also. And AK. And KK,QQ,K9,Q9,J9,T9 and so on. This is the reason I don't like limping into multiway pots at such low levels. He could have anything... as played, I'd call then punch myself in the head when he shows JT or 99. Actually, I'd fold since it's so early on, and there's no need to risk your entire stack. I'd then punch him in the head when he shows 44. :)
Valiant23
Re: top 2 pair with bet and shove in front of you Max has not been slowplaying Premium PP PF - he's had AA, and bet his top pair poor kicker, but not shoved before This tells me that this is either; (a) J 10 flopped the straight or 99 hit trips (b) Stone cold bluff However the chances are that as you've already seen one caller that you have lost one of your 4 outs anyway, so for me, as painful as it is to drop top 2 pr, they go in the muck. Dave Mardell
Re: top 2 pair with bet and shove in front of you You know he could easily have a K9 or Q9 here, maybe even aces, all of which he might tip in with to try and prevent the draw. Obviously the JT is a threat but in an unrasied pot you dont really know where you are If you call and you made a mistake you are unlikely to be totally dead. End of the day though the fact youve only incested 60 into the pot, your stack is still healthy and you dont really know where you are, I think you can afford to let it go. AJ
Re: top 2 pair with bet and shove in front of you Once again it depends on your read of the guy, my gut feel is to push, danger is he's holding KK, QQ, 99 or J10. If he is, then GG and fire up another. He could just as easily have K9 or Q9.
