robilaruk
i like the site and like the way they run the game running antes are ace and sit outs are auto folded, and also if they are all in on their blind automatically lose if against one active player - no showdown, no nonsense, they lose and you have their chips most impressed at the minute Damo

brael
Re: mansion poker Really like the blind structures for the current $0.01 tourneys. Gives you the opportunity to play some poker... unless GaF? is to your left and on a suicide mission! :lol Mansion Poker... :ok
slapdash
Re: mansion poker Yes, I agree. Aside from the great value they have at the moment, I do like the blind structure. The tournaments without added value don't seem to be getting much support at the moment, and they presumably can't go on for ever just giving money away, but it's early days. Let's hope they succeed in building up a solid user base. And let's show our appreciation by accepting the money while it lasts! My only gripe is that that incessant "boing!" sound is really starting to get on my nerves! My initial 100% record in Mansion tournaments is long gone, by the way. After winning the first two I entered (they did only have about 20 players each!), I've played 4 more tournaments of various kinds without any further success. But I'm still $167.48 up. brael
Re: mansion poker The only complaint I have with the blind structure comes with the lack of entrants at the moment. On the final table of the $50 added game this morning, we could literally have been there for hours battling it out for buttons. And that was with the antes too! It was fairly even with the exception of the chip leader and I have to admit I got tired of it. I suppose that's the wrong attitude in a tournament but given the prize pool it was hardly worth the effort. It's early days and I'm being overly picky but Mansion definately does get :ok . Ovalman
Re: mansion poker If I ignore any of you please forgive me.... my wife has now hijacked this site from me and it is her playing the 1c games most mornings and afternoons. I should still be able to play evenings. I like the filtering system to select a table (even if most of them are empty). Such simplicity but really handy. Something other sites should take heed of. Guest gazza271
Re: mansion poker was bored about midnight last night and checked in,saw a $100 added game with entry at $5 which was just about to start and only had 11 in. started playing and discovered it was a rebuy :wall , one guy was on a rather bad run and had several rebuys which bumped up the prize pot a fair bit. Anyway ended up finishing 2nd for $78 (with no rebuys or add on) but the game took 3 HOURS :loon :loon and that was with only 12 of us in :lol
philossify
Re: mansion poker and they presumably can't go on for ever just giving money away, Who says so.... they are sponsoring Spurs after all so they must be used to giving money away for little reward:rollin . There were 88 in the 3:00 am game last night (or rather this morning) and me and guesswest managed to take some money off them (4th for me, 6th? for guesswest). It did take me till 6:00 am to get my 4th spot and $40 (bad beat my AK losing to A3 on the river) - seemed to be a mixture of muppets who went out early, but (once they'd gone) a core of tight players. Final table seemed to last forever.... Mansion :ok

Prowler
Re: mansion poker and they presumably can't go on for ever just giving money away not forever but they can withstand months of loss leaders in order to build up a player base, charging 1c for mtts with added value guarantees deposits and as the player base builds they will probably up the value to keep the sign up rate high, sponsoring spurs shows they got money to burn lol, and being an established sportsbook in the u.s means they can fund the poker section without any dent in their profits at the moment they arent really a well known company outside of america but that will change when the televised $10m buy in, 6 man winner takes all tourney takes place, phil ivey is the only announced player so far, and its gonna take tv poker to another level..... every card is microchipped, so you know who has what, whats gonna flop, rabbit hunting for folded hands, pretty much all the info on every hand!! take advantage while ya can, it wont be long before its just another site!! jeffers
Re: mansion poker Don't underestimate how much they can give away - they have huuuuuuge amounts of money behind em - as you'll notice by em sponsoring Spurs for a ridiculous amount :rollin The value tournys will carry on for a while i'd imagine. :tongue2

Hedonist
Re: mansion poker Looking at the list of completed tournaments and all the added money were good value. I also noticed that they had a $1 + .10 rebuy tournament with no added money that only 2 people entered, there were no rebuys and one guy walked off with $2, suprised they did not have a minimum entry number. I remember ordering it when I registered an interest in Mansion (still haven't used 'em) but it's took 'em a fooking while for me to get it. Dontcha worry, it's free (unless they start billing us. :unsure).
