RussP
Sun 30 Apr Blue Line 3.20 Brig 5 pts EW at 8/1 (Sporting Odds & Stan James) Still a maiden yet has run some good races in defeat. Main prob has been it seems to get outpaced early but then stays on as well as any in the last furlong or so. Extra furlong today is crucial IMO. J Quinn takes the ride and finished 3rd on Blue Line the only other time he has ridden it in a 15 runner race at 33/1, finishing behind the 2 market leaders. Slowly dropping down the handicap also. Danger could be the track for a horse that likes to come from off the pace.
Aykay1
Re: RussP 2006 Flat Selections Good luck with that one Russ - looks fairly treated off a mark of 58.

RussP
Re: RussP 2006 Flat Selections Rather speculative (and a bit late) but I like the look of Bahhmirage in 5.05 at Brighton. Up in trip a concern but last 2 runs have been encouraging and would have been much closer if not blocked at crucial stage LTO. Admittedly up in class but at around 25/1 and this looking a poor race, it is worth a small EW punt. 2 pts EW
RussP
Re: RussP 2006 Flat Selections Bahhmirage....4th at 20/1 :sad . Got boxed in again at a crucial point although not sure if would have won anyway but fair run at that price
RussP
Re: RussP 2006 Flat Selections Mon 1st May Neros Return 3.35 Windsor Not hit form so far this season but showing gradual signs of improvement last time with a staying on 6th over an inadequate 1m. Extra 2f today will suit. Has been campaigned in much better races than this and coupled with it dropping down the h'cap, it must have a great EW chance. All its main rivals lack a recent run so fitness may play a part. Also interesting than M Johnston chooses to send it all the way to Windsor (1 of only 2 runners at the track today) and that very useful apprentice (IMO) G Fairley takes another 5lb of its back. 5 pts EW
RussP
Re: RussP 2006 Flat Selections Another small wager for today. Lady Disdain 4.15 Newc (F/c 16/1) Excellent draw against the rail which is normally crucial in 1m races here. Admittedly top weight but placed well last season and, if fit, must have a great EW chance. The other well drawn horses all have question marks against them. D Tudhope takes the ride, taking a valuable 3lb off. 2pts EW
RussP
Re: RussP 2006 Flat Selections Both unpl today. 1 last one in the 5.25 Kemp. Montosari 5pts EW been running well recently although only 4th over C&D most recently. However, stepped up 2 grades that day and is now back down to its grade (from 3 to 5). Renews its partnership with G Baker who won on it the only time he has been on top.
