kojic2003
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) Serbia & Montenegro(vs.Tunisia) Goalkeepers: Dragoslav Jevric(Ankaraspor), Oliver Kovacevic(CSKA Sofia) Defenders: Nenad Djordjevic(Partizan), Milan Dudic(Red Star), Ivica Dragutinovic(FC Sevilla), Mladen Krstajic(Schalke 04), Nemanja Vidic(Manchester United), Dusan Basta(Red Star), Aleksandar Lukovic(Red Star) Midfielders: Igor Duljaj(Shakhtar Donetsk), Predrag Djordjevic(Olympiakos), Ognjen Koroman(Portsmouth), Albert Nadj(Partizan), Danijel Ljuboja(VfB Stuttgart), Dejan Stankovic(Inter Milan) Forwards: Savo Milosevic(Osasuna), Mateja Kezman(Atletico Madrid), Mirko Vucinic(Lecce) Top defender Goran Gavrancic(Dynamo Kiev) is ruled out through serious injury.Forward Nikola Zigic(Red Star) has withdrawn from the squad on Saturday as well as Marko Basa(Le Mans) and Sasa Ilic(Galatasaray). Despite some huge pressure on coach Petkovic, Fluminense skipper Dejan Petkovic(ex-Red Star, Real Madrid and Sevilla player; officialy "Midfielder of the Year" in Brazil) isn't included in the squad. It's hard to explain this, especially after some of the latest squad problems.Nevertheless, I think we can show some nice stuffs in this match, although Tunisia are no mugs nowadays, while our record in friendlies is a pure disaster. If I'm not wrong we managed to survive only twice. China - S&M 0:2(N.Djordjevic, N.Nigic) Italy - S&M 1:1(N.Zigic) Aside from that, only defeats in the last 2-3 years! But, there will be no pressure in Tunisia for the first time, so we could improve this record. As I heard, Tunisia will have a strong side, with the likes of Trabelsi(Ajax), Dos Santos(Toulouse), etc...,but we're certainly not as poor as these odds suggest. IMO, Serbia & Montenegro(3.00-3.20) offer some value!
Angelo
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) JAPAN – Bosnia and Herzegovina 1 I choise this game and I think that there are great price for Japan. The game will play in Germany, in Dortmund. Japan is preparing for World cup, and in last couple of months, they are played some games in USA. For tommorow match they will have the strongest team. For Bosnia, this will be first game in this year. In last period, Bosnia play very well, and for next qualification they expect to qualify for Euro 2008. But, for this game Bosnian coach said that the results against Japan isn't the most important thing. He called some new player, and some player from national championship. Also, some standardayer will not play against Japan, including Salihamidzic and Bolic (the best Bosnian scorer in history). So, I don't said that this will be easy win for Japan, but I think that they are favourite in this game. Good luck!
ardman123
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) I agree with what has been said already about Serbia and Japan. Looking at the prices i think that the Czech Republic also look very tasty when you consider that they have hardly lost a game in the last couple of years. They are playing against a Turkey team who will not be at the world cup and therefore i would presume that the Turkey coach will use this game to play some of the younger players in preperation for Euro 2008. Anyone have anymore thoughts on this or any more information such as squads of the 2 teams etc.

icky
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) I think that Portugal -1 @2.15-2.20 may be a good bet with Saudi Arabia. The match will take place in Dusseldorf. Here's Portuguese 18-men squad for the game : Goalkeepers: Ricardo Pereira (Sporting), Quim Silva (Benfica) Defenders: Ricardo Carvalho (Chelsea), Jorge Andrade (Deportivo Coruna), Marco Caneira (Sporting), Miguel Monteiro (Valencia), Fernando Meira (VfB Stuttgart), Nuno Valente (Everton) Midfielders: Costinha (Dynamo Moscow), Armando Petit (Benfica), Tiago Mendes (Olympique Lyon), Deco (Barcelona), Maniche Ribeiro (Chelsea) Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Luis Figo (Inter Milan), Ricardo Quaresma (Porto), Forwards: Pauleta (Paris St Germain), Helder Postiga (Saint Etienne) Saudi Arabia is rather weak opposition to european styled teams. They also don't like this portuguese/brazilian type of play as I remember them being thrashed at home a few months ago with Brazil.
wintz
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) Northern Ireland have a few players missing but will include some promising youngsters like Thompson, Sproule and Brunt. The only players missng will be Hughes and Johnson, but generally its an attacking team. Not sure of goals market but we should see 2+ in this game. nastro 1888
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) fair enough views above - the thing about these friendlies is what teams turn up and with what attitudes, international friendlies this late in the season though just before a world cup gives plenty to ponder over IMO whose players are warned dont dare come back with an injury due to critical times domestically, whose players will run threw a brick wall for WC selection, weighing this up Im interested in a 6/4 treb of : Finland v Kazakhstan - Finland are very strong at home and possess very technical players against the last of the international minnows. Romania v Armenia - Romanian football looks to be IMO coming back close to the hagi days soon - very strong in the eufa cup with players probably not known to many and always good at home in internationals. Azerbajan v Ukraine - ukraine in wc and probably play loads of fringe players desperate to play in their 1st finals - not travelling too far to this soccer outpost at minnows. Galea78
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) : Finland v Kazakhstan - Finland are very strong at home and possess very technical players against the last of the international minnows. I think the Finland match is played in Cyprus, but I do agree with the win, it will not be easy but Kazakhstan new coach or otherwise are not that good. I have decided to take a few units on Japan also. SportFootball (Internationals) EventFinland v Kazakhstan SelectionFinland (-1.5) (Asian Handicap) Strength7/10 Date28/02/2006 Bookmaker/Price>Betfair @ 2.08 (Back) ReasoningFinland v Kazakhstan Should prove a comfortable win for Finland in Cyprus today, both sides will surely mix around their players but it is fair to say that who ever Finland put out will be stronger than Kazakhstan’s side. http://www.veikkausliiga.com/ report that Finland will start with the following line-up. Peter Enckelman; Ari Nyman, Juha Pasoja, Miika Koppinen, Toni Kallio; Pekka Lagerblom, Tuomas Uusimäki, Tuomas Haapala, Peter Kopteff; Juho Mäkelä, Paulus Roiha. That’ is not as bad line up at all, plenty of quality and plenty of players looking to impress and cement their place in the side for future major tournaments. I have read that Kazakhstan introduce a new coach to and although this can inspire positives from players it as often creates a lack of organisation as the coach tries to apply his tactics and team structure to the game. Looking at the away results last season for Kazakhstan I think we are looking at 2-0 or 3-0 score line so will risk a few units at above evens for Finland to win by more than one goal hoping that Kazakhstan will not score and surely kill this selection. davidmphill
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) Wales might be well worth opposing as Tosh is likely to play a very inexperienced side against Paraguay. fgee
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) Ah good old friendlies eh??? I remember last time promising to never bet on friendlies again due to the unpredictable nature of how teams play in them, and especially at this stage in the season players will be extra cautious to avoid injury However that doesnt mean theres no value to be had here I agree on Finland to beat Kazakhstan -1.5 Kazakhstan have actually improved recently especially at home, by that i mean not getting gubbed in every game Away from home in Cyprus i expect the finns to win fairly comfortably The Kazakhi coach is playing a very unexperienced side mostly from the club side he manages I'm unsure of who will play for Finland however, so i'd wait on news from their camp to decide on the bet

fgee
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) I'm very tempted to have a punt on Paraguay Wales are on a downward spiral after going thru a good spell a few years ago, can't see them winning this one and i think a result may even be beyond them Paraguay miss their captain Gamarra but i think the rest of the squad is more than capable of winning this one The weather is a big factor in this though, plenty snow where i'm at , the cold conditions may not suit the South americans, not sure what their away record is like either in Europe
colmoneill
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) I'd avoid..... Galea78
Re: International Friendlies (28 February-1 March 2006) Possible some are not 100% but I expect the same from Kazakhstan. Most players have been back training for a good while now if local and many of this team do play abroad. Mikko Kavén of Tampere United has played plenty, Peter Enckelman reserve football at least, Tuomas Haapala training with Manchester City FC, Joonas Kolkka & Paulus Roiha play with ADO Den Haag in Holland whilst Pasanan & Pekka Lagerblom play for Werder Bremen in Germany. Mika Väyrynen (PSV) and Peter Kopteff (Stoke) will be fully fit and Lampi has played a few cup games for HJK. Jonatan Johansson for Norwich...Most have football behind them in 2006...
