chala
Probably the best hurdler last season, his season culminating in the narrow win at Cheltenham over Faasel. Has disappointed on his 2 runs this season, but has hopefully got the cobwebs out of his system now and can make up for lost time with a win in the 15:20 at Wincanton today. There are nine runners and Robert Thornton rides. Alan King was disappointed that Newbury was abandoned last week, but he is very keen to run Penzance again and this will tell us whether he should run in the Champion Hurdle this year. Alan says that the forecast good to soft going is on fresh ground and should be ok, and he expects Penzance to have a great chance. A 4-point win bet is recommended on Penzance at value odds of 2/1.
