On H2H, 4 Stars' wins were won by more than a goal (1-0 this season). A straight win is available @ 1.4+, win in regulation @ ca 1.8. The Stars also won eight consecutive H2H encounters. They are at the end of their season-long road trip (6 away games), but haven't done badly so far (3-2). Columbus are a pretty lowly team, moreover are returning from their own road trip and are in their very own perfect letdown situation. They lost four straight (2 of them by more than a goal. Can go on by comparing goals for and goals against and stating how much the Stars outshot the Jackets in their encounters, but still can't find any reason why not to back the Stars on 'cap in this one. Edmonton (ML) to bt VANCOUVER @ 2.48 - 1 PT *Pinnacle* Strictly a price play in this derby of bitter rivals. The Oilers won all three encounters this season and the bookies are basing the price on the expectation of a Canucks win at last. YTD 38-33-0, +22.41 pts, +20.65%:) TBH, I didn't believe the Stars would make it and cover the handicap after they copnceded 7 penalties in the first, 3 of them 5 on 3, and managed a mere shot on goal. Moreover the refs looked to be all over them. Anyway, the Jackets scored a single goal in the very same first (and managed just 8 shots on goal) and then the tide turned.
