Big Andy
Re: poker chips offer I`ve had a look on ebay and I haven`t seen any numbered chips go for that price. I agree they`re not worth £300, nowhere near. But as a rule, a set of 500 suited chips go for about £30+ pp on ebay on "buy it now". I`d be interested if anybody can find a numbered set like that any cheaper than £29.99. i`ll have some ifthey can.:tongue2
2damnhype
Re: poker chips offer I too have looked on ebay, and whilst a lot are within the £30 - 40 price range, a lot are not numbered, and most cost a fortune in post and packing. Ovalman
Re: poker chips offer Its the same set I play with on a Friday night. Excellent choice, one set is enough for a 30 people rebuy tournament. Get the numbered version (or write the same denominations on them) - easy to understand what your betting with. legendkiller
Re: poker chips offer Dragging this threadup from a whileback - my chipset arrived and it is well smart. I would thoroughly recommend this company if anyone is after some chips. They even have a code (XMAS) to get 10% off at the moment.
Big Andy
Re: poker chips offer still some numbered ones here for £29.99 http://www.thesportshq.com/ProductDetails.asp?PCLinkID=756 the original ones on the link were £29.99 but for some reason they`ve gone up. Different style these are.
Blade
Re: poker chips offer I'm gutted. Ordered mine last Tuesday and paid the extra to have them delivered next day but by today they had still not arrived. I then get a knock on my door tonight from a girl across the road who had had them given to her when they were delivered and I was out(didn't say when). There was no card pushed through the door to say where they were and tbh, I was lucky to get them as the people in the house that took them in is, well, shall I say a little dodgy at best!! So, anyway, I'm all happy now that they've arrived until I open them up :eek :sad . The case is totally shagged :( Looks like ParcelForce couldn't give a sh*t about the Fragile notice posted all over it or who they deliver it to :@ :@ :@ . gonna email the place where they were from to see if they can be sent back or something. Looks like we'll using the cheap chips from the garage over christmas now :cry Sorry for the rant, just a bit p*ssed off!! :wall

Guest gazza271
Re: poker chips offer It may be worth looking at casinosuppliesuk.co.uk I bough a 1000 piece numbered set off them for about 70 quid, Its a quality set 11.5g clay and delivered next day, cany fault them, quality chips and quality service:ok
Guest gazza271
Re: poker chips offer Blade, the carrier should have insurance as well, Thats outrageous that they were delivered in that state:@
Blade
Re: poker chips offer Not signed for that I know of, and certainly not by me. I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't have posted them like that so going to email them to see what I can do as I really don't know where I stand. If they put the blame onto ParcelForce and I have to start chasing then I'll just cut my losses as I really can't be arsed. Have checked the chips and at least they're all intact fortunately, so only the case that's fked.
Big Andy
Re: poker chips offer is there not a basic insurance that covers parcels and packages etc ? I`m sure there is and if I think right it`s up to about £30. not sure though :unsure
ThePro19
Re: poker chips offer I got 500 numbered chips from casinosuppliesuk. Best thing about it was that I could choose the chips denominations I wanted, so long as they were multiples of 25 as that's how they're packaged. I paid £45 by buying direct from them, but I'm sure if you're lucky on ebay (as that is their main selling place) you can get them for less now by bidding. I also bought a big oval table from them too (also for £45) - it's great, but it's heavy. And as for cards... decided to buy some Copag cards. I'd say they're as good as KEM cards (both plastic), but at half the price. I got mine from the USA, and even with postage they still worked out cheaper than here in the UK. When I was looking, both the tables and the chips were going or about £50, so £45 then a good deal.

Emailed thesportshq last night and got a very friendly reply this afternoon saying how equally disappointed in the courier they were and that they will send me a replacement case ASAP. So big thumbs up for their customer service :ok :ok :ok Hopefully the couriers will be a bit more considerate this time!:unsure
