harry_rag
A general question, but related to the recent York competition where a missing full stop (or should I say "period") caused a degree of kerfuffle. The competition requires people to enter up to 7 selections, one for each race where they wish to put up a pick. To enable @MCLARKE to get the entries into his spreadsheet to be able to score them there is a preferred format for the race times, e.g. 4.45 followed by a space and the horse's name. Would it be possible to create a simple form for the purpose of that type of competition and (potentially) others, something that looked like this perhaps: Race Selection 1.50 2.25 3.00 3.35 4.10 4.45 5.20 SUBMIT All anyone would have to do would be to type in the name of their selection and hit the submit button which would fire the entries through to somewhere where it could be retrieved and copied into a spreadsheet so the necessary could be done. There would be no scope for anyone getting the time format wrong. I imagine we have a small army of tech guys and gals and that this would hardly be beyond them! I've assumed the poster's name would be passed through automatically for identification but, if necessary, a username field could be added as well.
