harry_rag
Opening round of games with the potential title decider kicking things off. My ratings (approach with caution) make that a scratch game, has England by 14 points and agrees with 365 on Scotland being 1 point favourites. Will see if there's much movement in those lines as the games draw nearer. Be good to hear what some of you think about these games. tschurchy
tschurchy
Home advantage is so key in these games. France played well against Ireland last year, but the Irish crowd gave the team a different gear. This year it’ll be vice versa, I think. Same applies for Wales against Scotland. There’ll be a raucous Welsh crowd and a team ready to make a statement after the Rees-Zammit news. England will also want to make a statement with a new captain. France -3Wales +1 England -17 harry_rag
harry_rag
Latest prices from our "friends" at 365 with an extra point added to Wales's start the only move of note but points lines have been added. The spreads go 17-20 for England's supremacy and 2-5 for both France and Scotland. Points are pitched at 45-48 in France, 49-52 in Italy and 43-46 in Wales. I'll be putting up any sells once the player markets go up, see how they do across the tournament. I know how much you all love a spread bet! harry_rag
France v Ireland I can't really dispute the prices here, with the consensus being that France are around 4 point favourites with home advantage. The RP tip for France by 1-12 points seems fair enough if hardly thrilling. A red card either way could scupper the best laid plans of backers so I'll just look forward to an entertaining game rather than get involved in the win or handicap markets. No sells in this one as the prices are all lower than my minimum. No try scorers crying out to be backed either, with Penaud the rightful favourite but looking short enough at 6/5. The RP tip for French hooker Mauvaka at 12/5 might merit a closer look. That's shorter everywhere now bar SX who go 14/5 if you can get on. harry_rag
Matched on Penaud at 2.6 which is enough to persuade me in. Also bought the French front 5 try minutes at 19 which gives me an interest in Mauvaka and his 4 amigos.

Also a red card towards the 4 required for that bet. If pushed I'd say England cover the handicap today but not getting involved in the results markets. Hopefully another red card to keep that bet ticking over. Taken George to score a try at 6/4 with Sky Bet. Tipped in the RP at 13/10 and odds on in places. Also had a small bet on him for one in each half at 18/1 which seems fair at least compared to the anytime price. 3/1 Slade my other play. tschurchy

I don't see any value in the England game, especially with the very limited in-play markets bookies offer on Rugby. harry_rag
harry_rag
Think I'll just watch the last game without a bet on it, can always cheer on a red card. Got a feeling it might be high scoring so, if my "England to cover the cap" take is anything to go by, you might want to go low on that one!
