I always like to review my P+L at the end of each year

9th year in a row of profits

Mostly driven by Price boosts £2,000, Lucky 15s £1,000 and Free Bets £1,000

In effect all my profit is driven by bookmaker offers, my "system" bets have shown a loss

I haven't got any separate figures for racing as I bet so infrequently on it  ..... I do know my last bet lost !

Mainly bet on football these days and lost about 49 quid during 2023 which is my worst year for a very long time (and most of those losses have come in the last month)

My main benchmark is 2008 when I opened my online account (and joined PL!) ....... since then I'm about £240 down which works out at about £17 a year losses on average ....... the first 10/12 years of that was all on horses

Since I moved to mainly football I do lots of small bets whereas on the horses I'd usually only do one bet a day for bigger stakes but now I'm retired I want more action through the day so multiple small bets suits me better 

Maybe I should go back to the horses but just do more bets but for smaller stakes than I used to do ........
