7.00 South

Vespasian  7.8  4.4

Strong Johnson  7.6 7.2

Tricky race as some horses are unproven and others not that well treated but proven on surface ....Vespasian has been running well so shoukd give a give account ....strong Johnson has poor form figures but looks well treated now and has good sprint form in Ireland....betfair are offering 7.2 ( 7/2 or less with bookies !)...so that's a value bet ....5pt wins both

Bingo Bronson

Win at leopardstown in August for Ger Lyons over 1 mile 1 furlong in a maiden by 4 lengths.

He was sold straight away to Hong Kong and has resurfaced as .

QUANTUM PATCH

and debuts in a handicap this morning at Sha Tin.

He drops back to a mile in a field full of recent winners. Because of the need to aclimatise and find the right racing weight fitness and class level, they don't normally win first time out.

His barrier trial over 1000 metres was average at best.

There is very little justification in backing him for the reasons given above, but a four length maiden debut winner is just that and this drop back in trip is interesting to me and against better judgement an each way is my play.

To help , he has a low weight and a two pound claimer on board.

QUANTUM PATCH  Sha tin 9.50

Straight back into a decent and above average maiden in the only daytime meeting either side of the Irish sea.

THE BIG DOYEN

DOCTOR BRAVO

FIGAROC

Combination Trifecta

Two separate trifectas rather than putting them all into one and using 24 lines.

The big doyen carries the distinction of being a maiden winner in a maiden hurdle having been harshly disqualified last time in a headbob finish.

The third that day Hunter's Yarn ran out a 13 lengths winner next time out.

Happy ending to a tricky round of punting with the winning distance landed in the bumper 15 lengths, well  clear of the six lengths required. At 13/8.

While Irish Blaze won without limerick lace at 11/8.

BOBBY DASSLER

Irish runner
Debuts for Tom Ward.
Decent chance on turf form.
Placed on final run in autumn.
Best form second to Admiral D on handicap debut.
Admiral D went straight to Richard Fahey not leaving class 2 races thereafter.
Gets in here on a good rating, likely to need the run, if not Rossa Ryan has a nice mount.
CUSTARD THE DRAGON

In and out performer on a very good mark.

Using a system called Alexander with these two selections. Like all systems sometimes they work ..........
