StevieDay1983
Ralph Hasenhuttl Sacked by Southampton OK, so the news has finally come through that Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has been relieved of his duties with the club. The attention now turns to who will replace him. BetVictor are offering a range of prices and they have the current candidates listed... Nathan Jones (Luton) - 1/5 Marcello Gallardo (River Plate) - 4/1 Kjetil Knutsen (Bodo/Glimt) - 16/1 Rafa Benitez (Unattached) - 20/1 Pedro Martins (Unattached) - 20/1 Domenico Tedesco (Unattached) - 20/1 Nuno Espirito Santo (Unattached) - 20/1 Sean Dyche (Unattached) - 20/1 Vincent Kompany (Burnley) - 25/1 I think given Southampton's previous track record of managerial appointments I actually think Gallardo and Knutsen fit the bill. For want of a better word, they've always looked to get ahead of the curve with previous appointments and these two have been doing great work with River Plate and Bodo/Glimt respectively. Nathan Jones being top of the list is intriguing and at that price suggests somebody knows something. I think it would be a very risky appointment given his car crash tenure with Stoke though. It's a big step up and it'll be even tougher throwing him into a relegation battle. Who do you think the Saints will appoint next?
