The luck factor. Dont ignore it

Recommended Posts

I bet Tuesday and Desert Crown for the Oaks and Derby for modest money then racked my brains for the "luck" alternative.

Well I squandered my winnings on the rags.

Ah Hareeb at 250-1 I made a case for. It ran well but not well enough. Pity I was too ambitious as Balding's 150-1 shot cane 2nd in the Derby. They all "looked the part" in both classics . then with my "free £1 bet yesterday. I got distracted, failed to press the ew button and sent a 4 horse acca into the ether as a win only.  I saw Sir Henry Cotton get me off to a good start then was otherwise occupied. £756 winnings for 4 horses and no outlay has to be a good day. Luck?

Sure.but you have to earn your luck. Always keeping a small stake back for that lucky day.

Even hard nosed big betting professionals make a £1 x 6 horse acca their first bet of the day.

But as a bookmaker and a punter you must plod along not losing much, not winning much amd stick in the game until " luck arrives your way" but if you don't bet a small percentage for "luck" you'll never have any
