Dettori could not get a winning ride in his back garden v his son after he lost his Godophin job until he picked up with Gosden. I watched a jockey give a 6th and last fantastic tailed off ride the other day. Riding the winner is usually the EASIEST job of the entire field. But having said that. The start, the bends, the hollows all give an extra chance to the best jockeys. Then we have the 'problem horses'. It gives a chance for an owner to call upon the Sam Alladyce jockeys...i rate Ray Dawson the best horseman on the flat at the moment by a country mile guaranteed to get the best out of a wild one. He is so good I see his services as a yard horse correcting jockey too much in demand for him to take race rides He is on Crack Regiment today ,4.00 newmarket....only ride.
