StevieDay1983
TNS vs Connah's Quay It's a massive game in the Cymru Premier this weekend as the top two go head-to-head in a 5:15pm BST kick-off on Saturday afternoon with league leaders TNS hosting their closest title rivals and reigning champions Connah's Quay in a crucial clash at Park Hall in Oswestry. Only goal difference separates these two sides at the moment and with the league season drawing to a close this result could play a big factor in who wins the Welsh top flight title. TNS are desperate to reclaim the league crown they have held for so many years before their opponents for today's game stormed to a shock title last season. Manager Anthony Limbrick was brought in to replace former gaffer Scott Ruscoe on 2nd April and it's been clinical performances since for the team with 4 wins and 4 clean sheets. The side is now top of the table with 66 points and a 21 goal superior goal difference to their 2nd place rivals. It's now 7 league games won in a row for the Saints and they remain unbeaten at home all season with 11 wins and 1 draw from their 12 home league games. Connah's Quay will be looking to regain top spot in the league table with a victory here. Manager Andy Morrison has worked wonders at the club and the dream of winning back-to-back titles could become a step closer to reality with a win here. The Nomads are 2nd in the table but only behind TNS due to inferior goal difference. It's been 3 league wins in a row for the team now and they've achieved back-to-back clean sheets. The club has only suffered 1 defeat from their 12 away league games this season so if anyone can go to Park Hall and get a result then it's this lot. Well, what a game we have in prospect here. 1st versus 2nd and with just 6 league games left to play you have to feel that if either side can take a win from this game then they'll be well-positioned to go on and win the title. As shocking as Ruscoe's sacking at TNS was it now appears that it was a masterstroke and the appointment of Limbrick has aided that. I think the home side have to be backed for the price being offered but it's going to be a close one.
