richard-westwood Posted March 4, 2021 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Well ...I'd rated the race but some have dropped out and weights have gone up 5lb which messed everything up Aso 9.3 Capeland 9.2 Modus 8.0 Grand sandy 7.8 Unbrigado 7.6 Killer clown 7.6 Gala ball 7.2 Gaelic coast 7 0 Those were original ratings .....aso is out ...modus is out ...Gaelic coast is out ....leaves Capeland 9.2 Grand sancy 7.8 do Unbrigado 7.6 Killer clown 7.6 Gala ball 7.2 I really fancied capeland off 11-7 even though he was slightly higher than the average winner ....but off 11-12 hes way above the average winner now which has put a spanner in .......grand sancy is hard to weigh up .....has run well in past but ran poorly last time and not much experience for such a competitive race . Umbrigado has won last 2 ....but up in weights and recent run might see this coming too soon so I'm happy to oppose that one Killer clown had a facile win when last seen 70 days ago .....hard to know how good he is or whether he will be fit enough to run his best race .... Gala ball has chances but aged 11 is well above the average winner so opposed Overall I'm going to trust the fact that Nicholls has won this race 9 times I think so he knows what it takes ...the 2 Nicholls horses are top 2 rated so I'll play both and hope killer clown isnt a dark horse Grand sancy win 4/1 Capeland 18/1 win 10pts on both vikki37 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MCLARKE Posted March 6, 2021 Share Posted March 6, 2021 Not a lot of data for trends but here goes. Top 4 in weights - all 14 lost. Reduces field to 10. Won last time - all 8 lost.Reduces field to 7. Bred in Ireland - all 18 lost. Reduces field to 2, SENIOR CITIZEN and ANOTHER CRICK. Ran more than 42 days ago - all 16 lost. This leaves ANOTHER CRICK at 11/1.
