Fader
This gets started today. There will be 5 Summer Series events which are by the looks of it, very much like the Players Championships they have of a weekend. Each event will last a day. This event will not be from home but will be "behind closed doors" in Milton Keynes. These events will be quite important to a few players as they will define who will be making wildcards into certain events and it will also make the players quite a bit of money so I would be surprised if they are not taking very seriously. Much like the Players Championships. The World Matchplay gets started in only 10 days and even spots for that are up for grabs. I'm taking a mix of players who need results (for ranking money etc) and players that have performed well in these similar kind of events. SS1 is Summer Series 1 and then SS2 etc etc. Happy to take some big outsiders in this event. 14pts staked. 1pt E/W G. Durrant to win SS1 20/1 betfair (4 places 1/4) 1pt E/W K. Fader
Semi-final draw : Van Gerwen Vs Gabriel Clemens Peter Wright Vs Krzyztof Ratajski *update MVG Vs Wright final (boring 1st vs 2nd ranking match) when you think in the betting it's 1st vs 2nd also, I have to be happy with a 40/1 each-way on Ratajski but Peter Wright on fire taking out Durrant and Ratajski is very frustrating. Both 100+ averages and ones to follow tomorrow for me also. *update MVG beats Wright 8-7 to win SS1 we'll do it all again tomorrow SS1 -3pts
Fader
Same set-up today then. Quite a few big names got knocked out fairly early yesterday and I think alot of it is down to certain player needing this Vs this being abit of practice for some players. Saying that, MVG and Wright neither needed this and got to the final. I'm going to be keeping a few of these. It surprises me that Durrant is the same price. He did very little wrong yesterday and I would be surprised if we saw the same level from Wright and MVG. MVG was outstanding in the latter stages but had match darts against him a few times. 12.5pts staked 1.5pts E/W G. Durrant to win SS2 20/1 paddypower (4 places, 1/4) 1pt E/W K. Fader
Not the best outcome here for me. Jeff Smith would have been about 200/1 in his placing which would have been 50/1 whilst Devon Petersen and James Wade waited for me to not back them to do the damage. Plenty of "just outside the money" places but ultimately a poor 5 days for me -placings at 66/1 on Gurney and 40/1 on Ratajski only managed 15.5pts and a loss of 46pts ouch I guess I'll have to have a good World Matachplay which gets underway on Saturday Summer Series -45pts Darts 2020 +1.5pts
vikki37
Chin up. Fader
Thanks, Vikki. I tend to do better on events that mean abit more. I.e, the Worlds or the Matchplay hopefully. I'm too tempted by big prices haha Thanks again. vikki37
