So 3 selections today 1.33 on this selection is value believe it or not. there is Value on the away side here and as I'm typing this I'm wishing I'd back them to win instead. I have the away side @ 2.04 current odds at 2.10.

I would like to change how I post my selections I wanna post them in a way you can see why I've made the selection with the selection but also with all odds compiled for the selections also. As Selections are added they will go onto the chart above for the weekend. I will also add what team has been added and keep the games in order of when they are playing.

 

When you click on the chart it will get bigger I hope this change will make it easier to follow not for you to bet on the selections but for you follow with your eye's. Also results will be posted in this format but the P&L will remain the same.

 

I hope this change is for the better and if anyone is looking at this I hope you continue to enjoy it. If you are unhappy with the change for any reason please let me know.

Today has been one of them days   But I'd like to add something new to the thread.

After I've made my selections I will add a forecast of likely Profit and Loss for the table of results

this weeks was

The way this is done is working out the probability of all my selections to see how many you would expert to win. So this weeks forecast was for between 12 and 13 selections to win out of 20. The lowest forecast is made up by the 12 lowest odds winning and the highest is made up of the top 13 odds winning.

Now this will show me (& you) how well I'm expected to do (or badly) . This helps me in a few ways Now I know what is good and what is bad. 40pts to me before this wouldn't be considered good but infact would be very good. Also help me with how this is performing and not to get to ahead of myself when things are going well or to down when things are going bad.

 

  Now this weekend Im at -30.60Pts and the the best I can do is -19.10pts both outside the forecast so performace level is poor this weekend. So far after 18 selections I would expect to have 11 winners but I'm down at 9 thats the reason I'm at -30.60PTS.

Hi all,

         I think it's time to abandon this approach of working out a probabilty of a football game :(. The problem I have is ratings need to be spot on from day one in order for it to be profitable. I've tired a few new things and thought I'd found a way to rate teams. 

Sport is Sport and it's impossible to get a true Probabilty on it I'm sure most will agree. I tired hard for many years now to develop a football predictor with odds but at this moment in time I till don't have it.

I will carry on predicting football matches as I enjoy it  and can pick selections that have a good chance of winning but what I can't do is put a percentage on that outcome (well I can just not close enough). 

So what I'm going to do is clean this thread up when the selections have finished and move away form this approach. I enjoy posting on this forum so will continue to do so.

I will more then likely post on the Glory Hunters forum using the methods I have used to predict football matches just without my compiled odds. Thanks all for looking in and I'm sorry I was unsuccesful with this.
