Aus GP

All the talk beforehand was that Ferrari were well ahead of Mercedes and the rest of the pack after testing and in the lead up to the opening GP of the season. As it turned out not much as changed from where we left off at Abu Dhabi last November.

Lewis Hamilton is on pole for the 6th consecutive time at Albert Park and will have his team mate Valtteri Bottas along side. Vettel and Verstappen fill row 2 but were well behind the clock and are going to find it very difficult to get past one never mind two Mercs on this tricky circuit.

Hamilton is 2/5 favourite and looks pretty solid but the value could be backing Bottas EW as an each way bet to nothing. There is a chance he could get away quicker and obviously will be there if Hamilton has any problems. You can back him at a couple of places at a 1/5 odds first 3 at 5/1 but I'm taking the more profitable option of 11/2 at 1/3 odds.
He's 2/5 to finish on the podium so thats another way to go and to me thats a better value bet than backing Lewis to win at the same odds.

Verstappen might be worth a small bet on the fastest lap market, if he's way behind the leaders he may fancy sticking some soft tyres on late and going for the extra point. I'm not sure the top 3 will have the luxury of pitting late.

Home favourite Daniel Ricciardo starts 12th but will be pushing like mad to get a point on Renault debut in front of his adoring fans so he may be worth backing to finish in the top 10.

Bets:
Bottas EW 11/2 1/3 odds (1,2) bet365
Under 15.5 Finishers 8/15 Hills
Verstappen fastest Lap 8/1 bet365
Ricciardo Point Finish 8/13 Hills
