Off to Cartmel on Saturday (21st). With it being one of the lesser known, unique courses I was just wondering if there is anything or anyone to particularly look out for. I’ve seen that Peter Bowen has a good record there and it looks like he has 4 runners on Saturday so probably one to keep an eye on. Any advice gratefully received. :ok

  • C/D horses
  • Jimmy Moffat runners with top jockeys on (trains at Cartmel and always gets one ready for local owners)
  • Front runners go well here.
  • McCain and Bowen know the right type of horse for the track, (speedy and always on the turn).

Get there early, nightmare traffic, try and leave car in village and walk to course.

Great fun on the whole:ok
