When betting on AvB in horse racing, this is when you have a choice of two horses, and you decide what one you think will have the better finishing position in the race. The horse you select does not need to win the race for you to win, it simply needs to have a better finishing position than the other horse. So for example if you back horse 1 to have a better finishing position that horse 2, if your selection finishes the race in 4th, and the other horse finishes 5th, you have won your bet. Both horses must start the race for the bet to be valid. If either horse gets withdrawn from the race before it starts, all bets are void. In the case of both horses finishing in the same position the market will be settled as a dead heat. In AvB racing one horse must at least finish the race for bets to stand.
