Quiet Reflection 9/4 Skybet

No doubting the most talented horse on show this Sunday, Quiet Reflection makes here comeback at Nass and this Group 3 should be well within her capabilities if anywhere near fit. The yard are going well so no reason why she wont somewhere near to her mark on her favoured soft ground.

3:30 Nass WOULD YOU BELIEVE  3/1 Skybet 5/2 General

Comments taken from Racing Post Analysis

Not an overly strong-looking sprint maiden but a very taking debut from a gelding who was clearly well-fancied and can hold his own in decent sprinting juvenile company. Another disappointing favourite too.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE was close to the pace the whole way and showed a very willing attitude to knuckle down to business under two furlongs out. He was entitled to be a bit green when coming under pressure but had enough ability to get away with it. He will be sharper next time and can step up on this form. He comes from the family of the very fast Group 2 winner Paris House and sprinting looks like his game.

4:00 Nass (Sorry Billy) ALPHABET  13/2 Bet365

This represented a good opportunity for Caravaggio to get back on track after his three-year-old career was somewhat derailed in the July Cup and most recently in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville. It wasn't quite the speed test that was expected as the soft ground made this more about stamina than anything else. He came through the ground well and won comfortably, but he has yet to prove himself as the lightning quick racehorse he was described as at the beginning of the season by Aidan O'Brien.

CARAVAGGIO was away much quicker than he had been on his last couple of starts but approaching the middle part of the race, he hit a flat spot and was pushed along and seemingly in a spot of bother. To be fair to him, he had yet to tackle ground as soft as this and was hardly high on confidence after suffering two comprehensive defeats, but he managed to pick up well to get himself into contention entering the final furlong. He stayed on very well through horses in the closing stages and was well on top at the line.

Alphabet ran a career best from the front. This was her best effort since she finished third in a Group 3 over 6f here on soft to heavy back in June. She was well held in the finish, but to get as close as she did to the winner was very taking indeed.
