Chi tibello is fav and i can see why but 5/2 looks very short in such a competitive race so im more interested in top 2 here with diego du charmil looking a typical Nicholls improver and at 10/1 looks very good value .....Styles won as he liked last time and that actually looks decent form as he could have any amount in hand and sneaks in here off bottom weight at 33/1 he looks hugely overpriced

No winner last week, everyone was knocked out by the 5th leg. The Win Fund starts at £193,867 and the Bonus Fund has crept up to £138,390.

75 punters landed the Place Fund last week and won a decent £345 return.

This weeks action comes from Ascot and Newmarket, the feature race is the Sadexo Gold Cup Chase at Ascot (3.35).

Leg 1: Noche De Reyes 15/2 Skybet

The first leg is a 2m Listed Handicap Chase and a dozen runners line up. Yorkist is interesting having his first run for Dan Skelton, he has promised a lot but never really delivered. Miss Tenacious won well last time out from Noche De Reyes, the runner up gets a weight pull and will be better for that first outing for a while. Tom George is doing well at the moment and is my preference here.

Leg 2: Sternrubin 8/1 BetVictor

The William Hill Handicap Hurdle and again we have 12 runners. Top weight Ch'tibello should go well, he ended up winning a valuable race at Ayr last year and should have a good season. Cloonacool might be worth watching for a yard going well but i'm just siding with the Hobbs horse Sternrubin on this occasion. He has good course form to his name and could be still improving.

Leg 3: Father Bertie Skybet

Our first race on the flat and we have a 10-runner mile handicap. Father Bertie ran well last time at Leicester and has been knocking at the door recently and wouldn't be winning out of turn. Two For Two has slipped down the handicap and is starting to look dangerous while paper favourite Makzeem will be popular from the Roger Charlton yard.

Leg 4: Saphir De Rheu 4/1 Bet365

A cracking renewal of the Sodexo Gold Cup and the betting is all about second season novices Saphir De Rheu and Tea For Two. The latter won a Grade 1 contest at Kempton last year but hasn't been seen since February. Saphir De Rheu was aimed very high and was caught short of top class over fences. Thsi will be more to his liking and if putting it all together will be hard to beat.

Leg 5: Wolftrap Bet365

A Class 4 handicap hurdle here and not the most competitive of events. I think this is best left to the Philip Hobbs horse Wolftrap. He has improved 10lbs since joining this yard last season and should be all the better for his run last time out at Newton Abbot which came after a mini break. Top weight Miss Estela is one for the short list along with the Jonjo O'Neill trained The Tailgater

Leg 6: Chiswick Bay Skybet

The final leg is a tricky 7f handicap and probably the most competitive contest of the day. Top weight Harwoods Volante is the only last time out winner in the field and has been in cracking form lately. He's up 5lbs here and drawn 15 of 15. I like the one at the other end of the handicap Chiswick Bay, he was a decent 3rd at Pontefract last time under his new mark and looks capable of getting involved.
