Cheltenham 1:20 - Betbright Novices' Chase(Dipper) (Grade 2) (1) 2m5f Ptit Zig bolted up in a Grade 2 at Ascot two weeks ago, beating a good horse in Josses Hill by 9 lengths and a reproduction of that should be enough to land this. He is now seeking a fourth straight victory but he does have to prove his stamine over 2m5f and when previously tried over 2m4f at Aintree he didn't see it out, so there are slight question marks. If he gets the trip though, he should win. Champagne West is a two time course and distance winner and his valuable experience here could count for a lot too. In what is a fascinating race, you can make a case for most here, but I have had a small play on Clondaw Kaempfer who showed some smart form when beating Caid Du Berlais at Aintree earlier in the year. Re: National Hunt Racing > New Years Day Cheltenham 1:55 - Betbright Best For Festival Betting Handicap Chase(Grade 3) (1) 2m5f With Venetia Williams in good form of late after her landing the Welsh Grand National a few days ago, Tenor Nivernais could be a horse that could play a part in the finish here. The 7 year old came back from a break to beat King Edmund by a short head at Kempton in November and he should strip fitter and improve on that tomorrow. Sean Bowen picks up a nice ride on Rolling Aces who ran a nice race in the Grand Sefton at Aintree recently when 4th behind Poole Master. The clear value in the race for me is Champion Court, a horse off a really low weight who loves it here, and Martin Keighley struck here at Cheltenham in December with Any Currency and Benbane Head.
