Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December Just having a quick look, I think it may be worthwhile opposing Blyth Spartans tonight at home to Trafford. Blyth Spartans done so well in the FA cup on Friday knocking out League 2 side Hartlepool and that may have taking a lot out of them physically and mentally. This game could come as abit of 'after The Lord Mayors show' for them.

It has been nine games since they last won in the league and they have only picked up two points in that time. I can see where you are coming from, but even at 3/1 Trafford don’t seem worth backing.

Thats the only thing putting me off, the fact that Trafford seem pretty useless and their league position. I see Blyth have a lot of games in hand aswell so their position will be false to a certain degree.

Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December Gateshead v Southport Both teams played Sunday in FA Cup and won. One would hope Heed would beat Southport but many times this seasons they have acheived a draw or loss out of the jaws of a victory. If you believe Heed will win then the market to focus on IMO is the 6/1 offered by Mr S James on the H'Caps - Draw(Heed -1) ie Heed need to win by a single goal. Most other firms give around the 12/5,5/2,11/4 mark so the value of 6/1 is there. I intend to cover my stakes just in case they go goal crazy - Heed -1 is 8/5 Following up my 11/4 winner on Saturday (Matlock/Ramsbottom Draw) Hampton & Richmond v Peacehaven DRAW is 11/4. H&R have played 11 home games so far without a stalemate. Peacehaven have drawn 40% of all their away games. The other Draw fancy tonight is Staines away to Hemel at 16/5 - Staines played 17 and no draws. Worth a tickle at those odds i think.

I get the feeling Blyth could underperform and still get away with it.

That Stan James price has surely got to be a palpable error. I struggle to believe that they want to 6/1 when that is nowhere the price it should be especially when they are only 4/1 to drawn the game on the -2 handicap. I would say it isn’t worth the effort having the bet as it will be voided.

Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December A quick look on the Stan James website will tell you Stan James are 13/5 for the draw on the -1 handicap and the 6/1 price is on the +1 handicap but they have accidently put -1 next to the draw price which is why it is coming up on Oddschecker as 6/1. If the price is too good to be true then it usually is and struggle to see how anyone would think this was the true price.

Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December Well, I often read that Gosport B. is one of the best playing teams in the league, they suffered their first defeat after long time, to one of the big spenders Whitehawk. Hemel Hempstead is in my opinion a better team than Staines. Staines recently released their topscorer and have generally problems to attract better players because of their financial situation.

Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December And Banburry is the worst team in the league and its sounds like that their fans already have accepted they will relegate this season. They had big problems since last season and now they are last in the table. Corby is in the top of the league, but after a very bad run in November, they draw against Reddicht and won in saturdays game.

Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December And how can the odds be so low on Lincoln victory tonight ? I know Nuneaton have big problems away from home, but Lincoln is not a top-team, like Barnet, Bristol R, etc. In first watch I see clear value on Nuneaton X2 best odds around 2.37 But what is your opinions ?

Wouldn’t want to go near Nuneaton. Apart from the win against Chester they have been pretty bad and losing at home to an Alfreton side who have been woeful away is a bad result. Lincoln have shown improvement since the change of manager have won their last two and didn’t have a game on Saturday which will count for a lot here. Can’t say I would want to back them singally at the price but I can’t see Nuneaton getting anything from the game.

Re: Midweek Non-League 8-10th December Nothing massive from me this week. I was going to tip Woking up but the price as gone and I don't think they are value anymore. Instead I think the value is on the draw. FGR have drawn 11 of 24 league games this season and have drawn 4 of their last six. I think Woking are better than them and that is why I was originally going with them when they were bigger, but with as on Saturday if Woking win it helps my ante-post bet on them and the stats point to a draw being the most likely result and it is the outsider of three at 23/10. The BTTS and a team to win market is a bit of a muggy bet to me and not one I have ever done before. Tonight though I think backing Torquay to win and BTTS is the way to go on that game. I fancy Torquay here as although Halifax had the weekend off, it is still a massive journey for them on a Tuesday night. They are also not as good away from home and Torquay look in better shape to me at the moment. As I have mentioned often on here Torquay's defence is pretty shaky and although the price on them to win has drifted to a more backable price I think it is worth taking a bigger risk at 7/2 that they win whilst conceding which I think has a decent chance of happening. The other bet is tomorrow and is based on value. Alfreton have been poor for most of the season and they managed to stop the rot on Saturday against an even worse Nuneaton side. That said Eastleigh have put in some right stinkers away from home and at 16/5 it is worth a speculative play that the home side can gain a win.
