Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Tournament preview: 3pts D.Junhui to win Champion of Champions 8/1 BetVictor One man who wasn’t in China last week, in a playing capacity at least, is Ding Junhui. He failed to qualify for the International Championship but he has won an Asian PTC event earlier in the season so we know he still has the ability to win tournaments even if that did carry a modest field. Having not been playing last week he should be very fresh and has had time to work on his game unlike those who’ve been in China and will have to take whatever they have left of their game into this tournament. It hasn’t been the best start to the season for Ding but he can use his freshness to his advantage by landing a big prize this week. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Monday group semi final previews: 4pts D.Junhui (-2AH) to beat D.Dale 9/10 Bet365 I really think freshness is going to be a major factor this week, especially for those who never went near China last week and with that in mind I think Ding has the opportunity to take advantage in this match. Dale should’ve got back early enough for any jetlag to have come out of his system but there won’t have been much time to put right what was wrong with his game last week so I’d be surprised if he stays close here. He was out of China early enough to avoid being too disadvantaged ahead of this event and at least he has been winning matches this season. Higgins looks a pale shadow of his former self and that is a concern. Even those who expected him to be back nearer his best with the big events coming up were disappointed with his result in China. Higgins’ confidence is so low at the minute that Hawkins looks a good thing even at 5/6. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Tuesday previews: 5pts M.Selby (-2.5 frames) to beat S.Davis 5/6 Ladbrokes Two world champions go against each other here but only one can really be considered in this match. The question is many Selby will win by. He won 4-0 when the two met in the Welsh Open last year and something similar has to be expected here you would think. In simple terms Davis doesn’t score well enough to challenge the very top players in the game so if this isn’t 4-0 I don’t see it being any closer than 4-1. He showed signs of his form coming back in China last week even though he lost in the first round and I think he can build on that and boost his confidence with a win over a big name here. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Wednesday group semi previews: 4pts R.O'Sullivan vs S.Bingham - Over 5.75 frames 1.92 Bet365 This could just be the match of the round and I think Bingham can go toe to toe with the Rocket in it. He gave as good as he got in the final here 12 months ago and has probably progressed as a player since then. He now really believes in himself and he should put up a good show here. Ronnie should be close to his best after getting all the rust out of his system last week so I sense there is plenty of mileage in this one. He’s made the journey from Asia to the UK so many times that it will no doubt be second nature to him now and while Murphy is very solid Fu might just have the beating of him. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Friday previews: 4pts N.Robertson vs A.Carter - Over 5.75 frames 1.85 Bet365 I think this will be a fairly close match and given that he wasn’t in China last week I wouldn’t be too surprised if Carter wins this. Although he’s lost the last three to Robertson he has a decent enough record against the Australian so he won’t be fearing him and he’ll just be delighted to be in this tournament. The pressure is all on Robertson here which should focus his mind so I fancy this to be very tight. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/robertson-vs-carter-betting-carter-can-push-robertson-close-on-his-uk-return 4pts M.Allen to beat R.Walden 8/11 Betfred Walden got the better of Allen last week but I expect Allen to reverse the fortunes here. Walden isn’t one to be trusted in UK events for whatever reason whereas Allen’s form has been very good all around the world recently. He really belongs in this company now and given his success in the PTC events this year already this format should be right up his street. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Saturday afternoon SF preview: 4pts R.O'Sullivan vs D.Junhui - Over 1.5 centuries Evs Bet365 I really hope both play to their potential here because if they do this will be an epic semi final. I don’t expect to see a lot of safety it has to be said. Both men love to get the balls open and dish them up and I would imagine we’ll be seeing plenty of high breaks throughout the match. Both men score centuries for fun so the even money on two of more of them here offers some appeal. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Second semi preview: 4pts J.Trump to beat N.Robertson 6/5 Coral I’m surprised Trump is an outsider in this match. He looked excellent on Tuesday, he has a good record against Robertson and Robertson did start to look a little jaded as the day went on in his group on Friday. Of course Robertson is a massive talent capable of beating anyone and wiping the floor with them but based on their head to head record and what we’ve seen of Trump already this week he has to be the bet. Re: Champion of Champions 3-9 Nov Final preview: 4pts R.O'Sullivan (-2.5 frames) to beat J.Trump 11/10 Paddy Power Ronnie has looked on cruise control all week so far and I think he’ll finish the job off now. He seems to know how to beat Trump now after a period where he couldn’t get to grips with him. There isn’t a part of O’Sullivan’s game which looks weak at the minute and he looks fresh and spritely unlike his younger opponent who looked shattered in the semi final. I expect Ronnie to be too strong in this final. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/o-sullivan-vs-trump-betting-o-sullivan-can-prevail-in-tantalising-final
