Warbirds
Hi guys Flying into Manchester on the 18th of October with PL's elusive member Myrie16 for a football game (City - Spurs); we were hoping to go and play a tournament somewhere afterwards (late afternoon / evening). Any tips or recommendations? Cheers Fred
repton3
Re: Tournaments in Manchester There's a Grosvenor G Casino at Bury New Road in Manchester and they have a £20 super stack freezeout on Saturday at 8pm. I haven't played that particular tournament actually but I've played the Friday night one a few times, and it's not bad. The casino is easy to get to with loads of parking and the poker room is really nice (biggest poker room in the Northwest supposedly). muttley
Re: Tournaments in Manchester The Saturday comp at Bury New Rd usually gets around 80 runners, but the cash games are much better. The high hand jackpot stands at £10,000+, but if you win that and Tottenham take all 3 pts, you'll be lucky to make it out alive! * *I'm joking. Warbirds
Re: Tournaments in Manchester Cheers guys - BTW we're coming in from Finland, not London and are neither Spurs nor City fans. Just hoping to see some good football :)
glennop
Re: Tournaments in Manchester Hadn't seen this thread, so imagine my surprise after turning up for the Saturday night game at my local casino to see Fred in the seat next to me. After getting knocked out at about 12.30am with 30+ players still left in I bid my farewell and leave Fred to it, who is in good shape at this point after a great comeback from 8k. Very good to see you Fred, hope you did well in the game mate, and got home safely. ...and good luck in Unibet Open in London next month. And terrible bad luck in that exit hand, btw! I am back in Helsinki, after an intense 24h in Manchester :) I finished in 6th, (at half past three!) and enjoyed myself very much. Hopefully there will be other occasions to play with you Glenn Fred
