Away side is in terrible form lately, conceding as many as 12 goals while they only scored 1 goal away from home in their last 5 games. Their topscorer Shivola is out for the season, this will surely not help them. Defenders Vesala and Lindberg are also out. Important midfielder Stefano too. All in all a few key missings and they face a strong home side in Kups. Last time they lost 3-0 here. Kups on the other hand are in decent form lately especially at home. Collecting 8 points out of their last 4 games 8 goals scored while 5 conceded. They have some small doubts in their squad but should be oke. Kups are no world beaters but surely have the advantage in this fixture. Home advantage, H2H and the poor away form and missing players of the guests. My prediction tight game but Kups as likely winners odds around 1.90 deserve some medium confidence.

Home team is on a incredible run winning their last 5 games home and away with a goal difference of 12-2. They are superb at the back and always find the net once or twice. I fully expect them to doninate this fixture at home. They won the last two meetings against Rops too and their team news is quite favorable too. No important missings for the hosts while the away side will miss important defender Lahdenmaki and Pennanen. While their topscorer Kokko is also out for this game. Quality difference should be big with these missings and I just can't see Rops getting a result here in one of the hardest places to visit! Rops los 3 of their last 5 games with a goal difference of 9-10. Lathi will surely add a few more to that no doubts. My call is 3-0,3-1. Odds around 1.60 for a home win are very generous and I'll back them with medium stakes also Lathi -1.5 small stakes around 2.50 and Lathi halftime fulltime small stakes around 2.35! Goodluck.

Mariehamn won the reverse fixture 2-1 a couple of weeks ago and have played twice since then in the league winning one and drawing one. VPS have lost both their two games however this was agianst the leagues form team Lahti so hard to judge their form. The bet I like in this match is Mariehamn to score over 1.5 team goals @ 1.91 with Bet365 In Mariehamn's last 9 home games they have only failed to score 2 or more goals when playing against the two top clubs in the league HJK & Lahti. They look to be on decent form and able to find the net in most games. I must admit this selection is based on stats alone and just wondered if you had any input? Also can you recommend any useful sites for injury/suspension & team line up information for the Finnish leagues?

Re: Finland > Veikkausliiga > 2014 Sometimes it's just so hard to understand how bets fail. How on earth can Lathi concede four goals at home??? Must be a negative record in the league for them against a team who played without their topscorer and some other key players. Game ended 3-4 and normally this should have been a solid home win if you score 3 teams and posess one of the best defenses in the league. Litherally every shot on target was a goal for Rops. Just one of those days... Kups won their game so did Mariehamn and Dortmund. Lathi cost me a lot just like Wolves yesterday. Pretty dreadful but that's the life of a sports punter I guess. Win some loose some :-) cu at the weekend!

Re: Finland > Veikkausliiga > 2014 SJK versus Lahti There are nine million bicycles in Beijing. SJK are newbies, but during whole season they present constantly solid performance. These are things we can't deny. Long before season started they signed experienced players to improve quality, they have decent, experienced coach who has authority because of career in more serious leagues than Veikkausliiga. Their team is a fine collective of players. Unlike Lahti they don't count only on one player. Lahti used that experienced Brazilian Rafael (top scorer of this league) will always save them from troubles. Too bad for them that he picked up injury and is still in recovery phase. He is old, but still with really good technique and finishing skills for this level. Without him they lost many from their potential. Another thing is fact that Lahti are clearly on downtrend. Poor results in league, defeat in Cup. It looks like they have serious problems these days. Lately things get complicated even more as important playmaker Klinga is once again injured and his potential replacement Kimmo Hovi is out as well. As for SJK they still stand strong. Their last game ended with a goalless draw, but it was away from home against 5th placed team. At the same time Lahti made home goalless draw against much worse team. Summary: injury of Lahti's key centre forward, home stadium and better momentum. In my eyes it's enough to see value in odds for home win.
