Athlone -v- Shamrock Rovers Athlone are home to Shamrock Rovers, and it's going to be a difficult game for Mick Cooke's side for certain, as they come up against the big ambitions of the Dublin club. However,this is a special occasion for Athlone, as they are playing their first home game in the top flight since 17 years, and it's also the first time they'll play a home league game in their new stadium. I personally think that Mick Cooke will have his team setup to frustrate Shamrock Rovers, and with a big crowd expected to attend, I believe Shamrock Rovers may struggle to perform. Athlone have a full squad to choose from, as they have no injuries or suspensions. Shamrock Rovers will be without David O'Connor, Kieran Marty Waters and Stehen McPhail. However, they still have a very strong set of players to choose from. I think the game could end in a draw, but for this combo, I'm choosing a cautious Athlone +1.5AH line. Bohemians -v- Drogheda United Bohemians take on Drogheda tonight, and after a good start to the season, confidence is flowing again at the north Dublin club. They have overcome UCD twice in the space of four days, and Owen Heary will have his players and team ready to do the business tonight again, in front of their own fans. Drogheda also had a really excellent start to the season, beating their Louth rivals 4-1 on the opening night last Friday. However tonight Drogheda will be missing key players in Gavin Brennan (suspended) and Michael Schlingerman (injured). Gavin Brennan is one of Drogheda's most influential players, and his presence in midfield will certainly be missed, meanwhile Dave Ryan will have to deputise in goal instead of Schlingerman. Bohs may be without their captain Dave Mulcahy, which will be a blow, but other than Karl Moore being absent, they have a very strong team to choose from for tonight's game. Again, I believe Bohs have a great chance to win this game, but I'm choosing the cautious line of Bohs +0.25AH to add to this combo. Bohs shouldn't lose the game, and very probably will win it.
