Expected favourite has not been seen out since Feb & never raced over this distance before. I make this race between Tungsten Strike who was 2nd in the Northumberland plate behind Sergeant Cecil who has since gone on to win the ebor & Land n'Stars who had a gallant 2nd last week at Newmarket & is a proven horse over the distance (& further). Landn'stars is currently 13.5 on Betfair - 10pts win will see what Tungsten strike is in the morning before placing another bet. Only 3.35 on Betfair. Hasnt been up to it recently with disappointing efforts. Must come good for one race this year & that price is too big. You have to be drawn at least above half way so a 13 of 17 draw is a plus. 1.50 Donc My notebook horse Gramm runs in this & maybe 6f may be a shade too short but Hannon has 5 entries chasing the £300k pot. I have gone for an ew on FISOLA 5pts ew @ 16/1 Sp odds who is drawn 17 of 22. Beaten narrowly at the track LTO, i expect this one to be placed at least in a very competitve race. 2.25 Donc Ok, it would be great if Halmahera wins for the 4th time in this race, however his form this year shows that at 10yo may not be able to reproduce, the plus factor is the form of trainer Ryan *& the bookies are not taking chance pricing up at 12's. i wouldnt be suprised to see it placed. My selection though is PARADISE ISLE 5pts ew @ 28/1 Lads. Looking at the stats drawn well, & 4yo have a great record & it pays to be high in the weights in this race. At that price a place would still see a great return.
