2.40 AYR~PARTNER~Have taking a bit of 50's off PP which was absolutely massive for horse that ran so well in the Ayr silver cup last year been out of form but rocketed down the weights back to best trip today and ground not a problem would not surprise me to see it make that price look really silly. Trainer has had a winner of late and has a 5lb claimer on this one can get involved off a feather weight 4.10 AYR~GOOD BOY JACKSON~Available at 40's well worth an e/w bet at that sort of price having first run for new stable ok mark good trip ground fine. 3.10 AYR~DADDY WARBUCKS~Stable do well at this meeting and esp in the big handicaps but this horse looks a live outside in this lower grade handicap. This horse is back on last winning mark and can do better now with trainers son back on top has a great record on the horse and 25's is to big well worth an e/w investment. 3.40 AYR~JEAN GALLOWAY~Ran well here in July goes on any ground mark of 70 looks lenient in this jock does well at Ayr esp this year and horse runs well here on looks a good e/w bet here and is available at 12's.

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September Trainer I.Semple sends out just the two runners for day 1 at the Scottish track and i'll be backing his runner in the last on the card, the 9yr old gelding missed all of 2012 season as he had some problems bus has been running very well this season, he's had five races winning two and always seems to win or finish 5th. He's raced here in the past twice before but is yet to get a win, but round today one of those runs was on firm ground and he might just get his favoured ground today and post his best effort at the Ayrshire track, he's won over 1m 5f and also over 1m 6f - and if jockey P.McDonald can get him switched off near the back then produce him when it matters its hard to see them not being far away, he's rode him before and knows him well and has two victories on him to his credit. Going - jockey - price are all positives, the track is a wee concern. Ayr 5:10 - Lochiel. ​Danger - St lgnatius.

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September Not been seen in over 100 days and very much looks put aside for this race by trainer M.Johnston, the 3yr old colt is on a three timer and has a very low mileage having only the six starts. Mr Johnston does love a winner at any Scottish track and this race has the biggest reward in prize money and would suggest from Mr Johnston's two runners this is very much the one he's banking on. He's won at Ascot & Goodwood but that was on G/F ground, HOWEVER he ran a great race at Musselburgh over 1m 1f coming home 2nd under jockey J.Fanning, with today's extra 1f and returning after a break Mr Johnston will have this one spot on and could give the Scottish punters a bit of loyal justice, jif he improves any amount then jockey J.Fanning might have very little to do bar sit tight and press the button if and when required. ​Ayr 4:40 - King of the Danes

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September Mike De Kock has an unraced maiden runner at Yarmouth of all places today (2:20). Wednaan holds an entry in the 2014 Investec Derby. In the same race, Michael Bell's unraced Exceeding Power, has an entry next month in a valuable Newmarket 2yo contest. Wednaan is drawn in 1, but the stalls will be in the centre of the track. If he gets to the rail, he can win this. Last year's winner of this race was an unraced Van Der Neer, who has gone on to contest high class races.

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September 2.35 Listowel Late Rosebud 11/4 BetVictor BOG I made a very stupid mistake in opposing the Weld horse in the maiden on Tuesday. He has a great record here in maidens and although she has been disappointing, so have all of her opponents. She will never get an easier chance against such modest opposition. In my oppinion she still has the best form and her neck 2nd to Feasta in a maiden at Leopardstown is the best form on offer. 10 points win Late Rosebud 11/4 BetVictor BOG

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September Kempton 17.40 Richard Hughes is an eye-catching jockey booking aboard Sonnetation and the 3-year-old filly is the selection in the opener. The horse finished 2^nd over course and distance just five days ago and keeps the same mark of 53 here. She has previously won over this trip, when winning at Bath in July on quick ground and this looks like a good opportunity for the horse to secure another victory. 18.10 Tatting won at Wolverhampton on Monday over this trip and he’s been quickly turned out again here without a penalty and he looks sure to go well again, however Princess Spirit has been running consistently well on her last three starts all at this track and at double figure odds she looks likely to be there or thereabouts at the finish again. Her latest effort saw her slowly into stride from the stalls but she stayed on well inside the final 2 furlongs under 7lb claimer Jennifer Ferguson to take 3^rd. If she can race slightly more prominently this time round she could lose her maiden tag but at the price, Eddie Creighton’s filly certainly looks like a backable each way prospect. 18.40 Charlie Appleby has just the one runner on the card and it would be a surprise to see his improving colt Zurbriggen beaten. After finishing 3^rd on his debut over 7f at Newmarket last August in a Class 4 Maiden he made his reappearance at the same track with a step up to a mile in a Class 5 race last month. Although sent off the odds on favourite he could only manage 2^nd, finishing a head behind Joe Sugden, who finished 3^rd in a better race at Yarmouth yesterday, however you could make excuses for the selection who was held up towards the rear of the field before coming to challenge over a furlong from home, he found himself short of room as stayed on inside the final furlong but couldn’t catch the winner. On his all-weather debut he should take all the beating. Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes partner up once again with Appease who ran well enough on debut when finishing 2^nd at Wolverhampton last November when trained by Dean Ivory, but that race came over 5 furlongs and he will need to improve to factor at the finish here over a mile in his first race since his debut. 19.10 Excellent Puck almost secured his 2^nd career win in the Class 5 Leger Legends Stakes over a mile at Doncaster earlier this month when keeping on inside the final furlong to finish in a dead heat for 2^nd with Pelmanism, a nose behind the winner Dana’s Present. He’s a consistent type on the all-weather, winning once at Wolverhampton and also finishing 2^nd there and finishing 2^nd at both Southwell and Lingfield. Although up 5lb in the weights following that 2^nd at Doncaster he stayed on well enough that day to suggest that over a mile the mark of 75 shouldn’t be a problem, especially with Richard Hughes booked to ride. 19.40 A tricky Class 6 maiden here with a case being made for many in a race that doesn’t look like one to get heavily involved with. It could be worth taking a chance on Arty Campbell who made his debut over this course and distance last month, finishing 6^th of 12 and 12 ¼ lengths behind the winner, Omnipresent. Although he never really looked like troubling the leaders it was a decent enough performance for his first race and with that experience he could improve. He’s a brother to a previous winner over 2 miles and a half-brother to a winner over 7f and a mile so the trip should suit and looks a solid each way proposition. 20.10 The Tim Pitt trained Katie Gale is still a maiden but she has continued to improve since stepping into handicap company and ran her best effort to date when stepped up in trip over course and distance last time out, and on an unchanged mark of 50, she is taken to go one better here. After tracking the leaders Jimmy Quinn made his move on the filly and she stayed on strongly towards the line, just being denied by the winner Supercillary who held on gamely. Prior to that race Supercillary had been tried in better company and the form of Katie Gale’s 2^nd looks strong enough to win this contest. Bravo Bravo is one for the shortlist having won 3 times on the flat over 2 miles previously and returns to the flat having been hurdling since his last victory at Wolverhampton. 20.40 Having won twice in succession, firstly in May at Chepstow over 1m 4f and then impressively over 1m 3f 135yards at Windsor, Jupiter Storm was raised 14lb in the weights before being finishing 6^th of 9 in a Class 2 contest over the same trip at Windsor. Although slowly dropping back down in the weights he’s not shown the same form as he did earlier in the season on his two most recent starts either but down a further 1lb and now on a mark of 82, if he takes to the all-weather surface on his first time of trying he could go well at a big price over what looks to be his optimum trip. 21.10 Following her sole victory over course and distance in a Class 6 race last November, Sakhees Rose has been competing in Class 5 races varying from 5f – 6f. The best effort in those races came at Leicester in July when the horse finished 2^nd 2 and ¾ lengths behind Laughing Rock. Last time out she was a disappointing 9^th of 10 at Warwick over 6f but she drops back to Class 6 company here and is also on a career low mark of 63, 2lb lower than her winning mark. George Baker has rode the horse twice before, including when she won, and he returns to the saddle here and looks to have a solid chance.

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September 4.00 Pontefract Misplaced fortune is assisted with a 7lb claim today so puts us on a workable mark. I tread with caution though as the claimer has only rode here once plus he has not built up a partnership with the yard either but he has rode some winners so will chance today. Also in our favor is we are a specialist at this track 2w 6p from 11 runs here. When running here at sp odds of 15/2 or shorter we are 6/6 placed and today we look to go off with in that bracket. Combine that with coming to hand in the month of September 2w 7p from 10 runs. 8yrs of age now so is a small w/p for me. 0.25pt win 6.00 0.5pt place 2.16

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September 6.10 Kempton Very quick short of time! Not the best handicap in the world and plenty have something to prove. Sudden Wish won last time out, he looked in need of every yard of the extra 2 furlongs last time out and this drop back in trip is a concern not quite sure but somehow gets to run off the same mark and has been largely consistent at this sort of trip and off this mark but needs to find more. Tatting finished behind Sudden Wish that day but was better suited to how the race was run last time out and travelled strongly to win comfortably. A repeat of that performance off the same mark will make him hard to beat and likely to be better suited to the trip than Sudden Wish, the one to beat! 2pt win Tatting 2/1 VC

Re: Flat Racing~Thursday 19th September 8.10 Kempton Compton Bird bombed out last time out and has a lot to prove with a bit step up in trip, also wide draw makes life even harder. Camelopardalis looks fairly limited a 3^rd last time out doesn’t look the strongest form and still well held ultimately and doesn’t look in need of this further 2f tonight. Bravo Bravo hasn’t been seen on the flat for over 2 years but when last seen was in good order over hurdles in April, stays this trip on the flat and was last seen on flat winning off this mark over slightly further at Wolves, also useful apprentice takes off 5lb. Record fresh is awful which is the concern. Amantius ran out a reasonable winner last time out but that was just 3 days ago, on top off that a 6lb penalty and 4f further trip is of major concern. Katie Gale has improved for the fitting of blinkers including over this CD last time out, turned out quickly again today after a tough race, wide draw also unhelpful here but clearly capable of picking a race like this up at some point. Gonna take a huge risk on Ice Apple she has shown some very patchy form to date but has shown enough to suggest this surface suits her and this 2mile trip is her ideal. She went extremely close on penultimate start, she didn’t show up at all well on turf last time out and was pulled up so clearly something a miss, had some time off to freshen up and could go well at a huge price for an unfashionable yard back on this surface and trip. 0.5pt e/w Ice Apple 33/1 VC
