Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August Hearts v Aberdeen i see big value on AW here, Aberdeen is best team of league(after Celtic of course),while Hearts is full of problems as we know.many Young players in team.their results are not so bad but Aberdeen is stronger than them and should be able to take points here after to lose at home against Celtic(red card maybe was to heavy for them) dc x2 safer of course! do you agree?

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August Wouldn't touch Aberdeen here to be honest. Their record against Hearts in recent seasons is just awful. Hearts recorded 10 clean sheets in a row against Aberdeen from Jan 2010 - March 2013 (over 3 years Aberdeen failed to score). They finally ended that horror run at the end of last season with a 2-0 win at home. Of course Hearts now have big problems and only 2 fit players over the age of 22. Hearts are very inexperienced, however their defence has looked as good as any team in the league so far only conceding a penalty and a rather fortunate goal to St.Johnstone. Don't get carried away with Aberdeen as they have been over hyped and will probably finish 5th or 6th come the end of the season. I don't believe Aberdeen's squad is any stronger than last season where they finished in the bottom 6. They will bring a big support down to Edinburgh expecting to win this game but that is usually their big problem. They have underachieved for years and I don't see this changing anytime soon. Can see this match ending 0-0 or Hearts sneaking it 1-0.

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August Again some of my bets are based on information I have on hand.. Unlike a lot of people out here, I do not know the team inside out ( I guess that is why I ask to see if others feel the same way I do) but I know Rangers is a much superior team. They cruised through last season in division 2 crushing most teams (as expected) and this season they have started nicely by winning the first 2 games scoring 7 conceding 1. Airdrie on the other hand was quite poor last season getting relegated from Championship. They only won 1 out of 18 home games last season scoring 19 and conceding 40 goals at home. They only think I am not aware is, if their team has changed that much from last season? Have they added any quality players? This season they drew 1 game and lost the other. Also I read that the manager is deciding to bring back their midfield pair if they pass their fitness test. I guess Airdrie does not have full squad at the moment. What are your thoughts? :D

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August Same question as last week. Last season it took Rangers four weeks of DDDL away before they got untracked and got used to playing in a field with sheep all around. The draw here is 4.69...Rangers won at Stranraer 3-0 last week, so maybe it's a new season and won't need to adjust, but still I'm itching to take them on at some point. They won't win all their games away. I guess I'm wondering whether any of the teams in this division can give them a run for their money.

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August [h=1]Scottish Premiership Opta Facts | Aug 24[/h] Celtic v Inverness In the 25 league matches between these sides, Celtic have 18 wins to Caley's three, with four draws. Inverness scored in each of their four games with Celtic last season, having failed to find the net in the previous three. Despite that, Celtic won three of those four games and have won six of the last seven between the sides. Inverness' 1-0 win at Celtic Park last season was their first ever league victory at the home of the Bhoys' and their first there since the Scottish Cup victory in 2000 that prompted a rather famous headline. The last four matches between these sides have seen 16 goals in total hit the back of the net, an average of four per game. Inverness (W3) and Celtic (W2) are the only Premiership sides to boast 100% records so far this season. Caley Thistle are one of just two sides yet to concede a goal this season and are the top scorers in the division (6), with Billy McKay leading the way with three to his name so far. Dundee United v St Johnstone Five of the last eight games between these two have ended in a draw, including three last season. In 2011/12, the four fixtures between these sides produced 14 goals - last season only five were scored in total. This fixture has produced at least one 0-0 draw in each of the last three seasons. St Johnstone are yet to concede in the league this season and are one of only two sides to achieve this feat. Indeed, they also kept a clean sheet in their last league game of 2012/13. Dundee United have netted just one goal in three fixtures so far this term (D2 L1). Stretching back to last season, the Arabs have won just one of their last eight league matches (D2 L5). Hearts v Aberdeen In the four games played against each other last season, both sides managed a 2-0 victory and the other two were draws. Hearts have won their last four games against Aberdeen at Tynecastle, scoring 13 goals and conceding none. In fact, Aberdeen's 2-0 victory at Pittodrie last season was the first time they had scored in 10 games against Hearts. Prior to the 1-1 draw between these two on the final day of last season, at least one team failed to score in each of previous 11 meetings. Hearts have failed to score more than one goal in any of their last five league matches. In a run which stretches back to April, Aberdeen have lost just one of their last eight in the league (W3 D4). Kilmarnock v Hibernian Both teams have scored in this fixture 10 out of the last 11 times they have met in the top tier. The away side has scored in each of the last 11 league matches between the sides. Hibernian are unbeaten in four league games against Killie, winning two. These two sides are among the four teams in the division who are yet to win after playing three matches. Killie also lost their last two games of the 2012/13 season, thus they are winless in five league matches (D2 L3). In all competitions, 441 minutes of action passed before Hibs netted their first (and only) goal of the season. Motherwell v Partick Thistle These sides have not met since the 2006/07 League Cup when Motherwell triumphed 3-2 at Fir Park. Motherwell are unbeaten in five games against Partick at Fir Park in all competitions (W2 D3). Patrick have mustered 20 shots on target this season, six more than any other side. Partick last lost a league fixture on 12 January and have managed a win and two draws on their return to the top flight. Motherwell have not drawn a Premiership match since 6 April, since then they have won four and lost four. Ross County v St Mirren Last season's match at Victoria Park resulted in the only ever 0-0 draw between these sides in all competitions. The other two fixtures between these sides last season produced a combined 14 goals, with both team managing one win each. Ross County have leaked nine goals so far this term, four more than any other side. Ross County have also managed just 14 attempts at goal (excl. blocks) so far, fewer than any other team and almost 12 fewer than the division average of 25.8. The Buddies have opened the season with one draw and one defeat. Stretching back to last season, they have won just one of their last 12 Premiership matches (D7 L4). Ross County are the only team in the division to have lost all of their matches so far.

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August Aberdeen to beat Hearts 5/4 ladbrokes Like the look of Aberdeen tomorrow at Tynecastle. The Dons have made a good start to the season with 2 wins out of 3 winning impressively against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie, more than the scoreline suggested, and beating Motherwell 3-1 at Fir Park. Their defeat came last week against Celtic with goalkeeper Langfield being sent off at 0-0. Hearts have won, lost and drawn so far into the season but I feel their lack of experience can be exposed against an Aberdeen side who are very threatening going forward with McGinn and Hayes. The addition of Flood to midfield looks a good move and they seem to be quite strong at the back. Hearts on the other hand have very little experience and the youngsters can't be expected to put in the kind of performance they showed against Hearts 2 weeks ago. There will be a lot of ups and downs for them this season and I think Aberdeen will have too much quality in the final third for Hearts to handle.

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August Been a frustrating start to the season, so hoping to wipe off a few cobwebs this weekend with two bets Motherwell v Partick Thistle: Motherwell (-0.5AH) @ 2.20 with 188Bet I think I understand why Motherwell are priced this big at home to a newly promoted side, but I still think the odds are a bit chunky. Motherwell aren't the same team as last year: they hugely miss Law's guile, Humphrey's pace and Higdon's goals. They've brought in, on paper, decent replacements, but I think the likes of Sutton, Lawson and Vigurs are a notch down in terms of quality. I like them here, though, because after last week's thumping at Caley, Stuart McCall will have had his first full week of the season to get them well drilled. Their first two games came amidst their short-lived European campaign, while McCall was away with the Scotland squad ahead of that trip to the Highlands. I'm hoping the last six days have seen him get his point across and get his new recruits fully understanding the way he wants them to go about their business. Thistle have had a fine start to the season, but I think over the course, they'll lack a genuine, consistent goal threat and while this might be tight tomorrow, I'm going for the hosts to edge it. Ross County v St Mirren: Ross County (0AH) @ 1.81 with 188 Bet There's been little to like about Ross County this season, while they continue to hunt their first point(s) of the season. Keen on them here though. Derek Adams was seething as he faced reporters after they lost 4-0 to St Johnstone last week, and I don't doubt for a second he'll have read his newly shaped squad the riot act. I'm still getting to know some of their new players, but at Celtic Park on the opening day they looked, in spells, to be a decent enough bunch. The bet is as much for County as it is against St Mirren. Sorry if I'm repeating myself from earlier posts, but I really think they're a poor side, with a manager who's living on borrowed time thanks to last season's unlikely League Cup glory. There's not a huge amount of quality there, particularly at the back, and with full draw cover on their opponents, they're always going to be worth laying on the road. Good luck to everyone involved this weekend :hope

Re: Scottish Football - 23rd & 24th August After the terrible result and poor performance (except commons) against karagandy celtic now have a huge game next week,im thinking lennon will be resting a few players, even so a celtic 2nd 11 would still be expected to beat inverness, who have won their 3 opening games, scoring 6 without letting in any goals,if there is a good time to play celtic this could be it,on the other hand celtic could come out and play great to show the midweek result was a one off.i cant be the only one thinking inverness can win as they are in to 6/1 from 7/1 at william hills.very high risk and very low stake.

All three of whom have played champions league football in the past with the old farm. Our record at tynecastle is admittedly abysmal however with hearts in a such a state there real problems this season will start today with the form Aberdeen have been showing this will be a very tough ask for the hearts youngsters. McGinn is on fire upfront again the dons are incredible value for the win.

Thank you. Put a small bet based on your advise. Nice payout of 4.5 :)
